I'm fond of lots of things: kitties, puppies, bunnies, flowers, mushrooms, rainbows, groovy music.....

Takes his trident from Nimora with a bow of his head.

Thank you.

I'm not really sure what happened. I was testing LJ's amulet and spotted a salt water fish in the fresh water side. Since it was a rare species I tried to help it. As soon as I got it to safety I get smacked in the back by the shark. They never attack like that, that I know of. Since I couldn't move I could only watch as it began toying with me, cutting and biting...

How did you get me, or my body, out of it's stomach?

"I don't think you were in its stomach. We heard Nimora scream and found your body on the surface of the pool here. That shark didn't come through as far as I know - Nimora went through the portal to find it. So my question is 'how did your body get back through'?"

Mirathan examines the scars from his ordeal with disbelief

Thank you Mistress Sirone.

He continues...

And sharks don't ram small prey, let alone toy with it...They always eat...

More questions without answers.

I don't think it's the device manager. The bloody thing works, sometimes. It just likes to cut out at bad moments, like when I'm running an adventure, and it's the only one of the entire AP that I missed placed the hard copy of. For example, it was working when I started typing the message, but by the end it wasn't.[/ooc]
Gotcha. The mouse should be fine as a workaround then. This is why I'm not fond of touchpads personally :)

My work had a USB mouse, so I plugged it in and it works perfectly.

Victory snatched from the jaws of Monday - awesome! :D

Yay!

Now if we could just fix Patrick so easily.

Indeed...

"We may need to have that portal guarded then. If that little fish could get through, something else less benign could as well."

Beginning commute home - back in an hour :)

Are you sure? I've heard undead can type...

Yeah, I forgot about Aberzombie and some of the others. :)

The announcement of my lichdom is premature, but I almost wish my dark soul had fled into a phylactery. I am sooooo stoned on Nyquill and just stream-of-conciousness posting. Pluss I gotta go hurl. See you guys in a bit :(

I will be going to be standing the guard then, Nimora says determinedly, gripping her trident fiercely.

Glad your computer woes are fixable, David. Hope you feel better soon, Patrick.

"You won't have to do it alone, be sure of that," Devlyn says with a nod. "Mirathan - would you be willing to help Nimora with this? I'm more than willing to help with this, but I concede that this is more your element than mine, for the moment."

Gotta log off for the night. See everyone tomorrow! :)

I owe that much to one brave enough to take on that monster, and skilled enough to best it.

Nimora blushes. I is being exceeding lucky to be alive. It was being very foolish to take on such a large shark alone. I is very happy you are back, Mirathan, and I is asking you to please being careful. I would not be liking see any bad happen you again.

Shiny.

The scary thing is this avatar looks similar to a woman we gamed with for a spell. And I can picture her playing this hippy version with a straight face, relishing in the weirdness.

That would be a memorable session :)

And now, back to our regularly scheduled shenanigans: :P

Dawn comes once again to the Oasis...

After helping set up precautions against unwanted visitors through the water portal last night, Devlyn caught some shut-eye near the pool. He gets up with the sun and does some weapon practice, then dives in the pool to clear his mind and relax.

Yeah, I'm back. Also, Allura's stats are finally done and posted.

This one swims better than most, but the land-walkers sure make a lot of noise when they swim.

Allura smiles as she watches Devlyn swim. It is clear from his actions that Sirone has made the right choice.

Good news. She is an interesting class combo, just like you said - and a ranseur wielder too! Since I forgot about that Pearl until I looked at her gear (oops), I am duty-bound to remind you about the Amulet of True Sight that Lynora-Jill gave out to everybody at the Oasis.

Nimora barely stifles a giggle.

In Aquaan: I suppose I shouldn't laugh. Especially after he was so gracious when I clumsily tried to walk on land. But the landwalkers do seem to flail about so when they try to come into the water.

Catching sight of Allura when he comes up for air, he smiles brilliantly and waves, then swims over to the edge.

"Good morning! Care to join me, pretty lady? The water's fine..."

Okay, fixed it. I gave her psion levels because as a servent of the goddess of pleasure, love, and passion she feels that she could better aid those who come to her for "services" by reading their minds and taking the form that would be most pleasing to them.

"Okay," she says. Having forgotten her suit, Allura stips of her clothes and goes skinny dipping. "One thing about swimming in a magical pool, the water is always the right temperature."

Mirathan chuckles.

*In Aquaan to Nimora* This one cheats. She has webbing so that she might outswim the other, and distracts him by swimming au naturale.

Allura replies in Aquaan "It is not cheating to give him what he wants."

I was about to ask about Lastia's portfolio, as I couldn't remember what you said before about her. Combined with her changeling heritage, it makes perfect sense. Very cool!

Devlyn would (of course) make some attempt to defend his intentions from those comments, if he actually knew Aquaan...which he doesn't. ;P

"Webbing!? I think I'm being seriously outclassed here...," he says with a laugh."Ah well, nothing wrong with a good challenge!" as he swims after her.

What would the Indian/Eskimo name be for Broken Eel? Of course they have medication to help with that. ;)

Actually Lastia is found in the Book of Exalted Deeds, as much as I would like to take credit for her creation. I did make a few changes though.

Well that would explain why I thought the name sounded familiar.... :P

As Devlyn is getting swum around in circles most likely :)

Hmmm - I thought I saw a post here. David, I see it in her recent posts, but not here. Did you delete it, or are the boards starting to act up again?
