May be homo-erotic tales of vampires has become to banal and she wants to try something more exciting?

I read the first Christ the Lord book, "Out of Egypt" which I found to be a pretty good read. While not as eloquent or powerful, the book takes a similar approach to "The Last Temptation of Christ" in that it explores Christ's coming to terms with his role as messiah as he learns of his own powers as a child. I don't know how many books she plans to do in the series, but when I see "Road to Canaan" in paperback, I'll probably pick it up.
