I thought this was pretty funny, if not as funny as the first one.
But I got a great idea for the threequel!!!
You know how NPH gets "killed," and then rises up after the credits saying "MOTHERFLICKER!"
I think the threeqel should be called Harold and Kumar Get Hacked To Pieces, and it has NPH playing psychokiller, tracking H&K and their ladies down.
NPH can even use his evil surgeon skills from Doogie Howser.
I just don't want NPH typecast after Dr. Horrible.

I actually thought the first one was pretty good, but I was leary about watching this one. Rotten Tomatoes gave this movie a poorer rating than the first one. I also hate Guatanomo Bay. Fortunately that part of the movie lasted about 8 mins. I have to say, I was really surprised how much I liked this movie. I watched (and wished I didn't) the Unrated version which just plain had way to much immature explicit material. I really don't like the over indulgent drug humor. I mean, I get it. Drugs are ok to these people that wrote this thing, but it doesn't mean you have to get plain silly and have sex with a full human size weed bag. Fortunately, the humor team from the first film is all here. You sense the film they are crafting comes from the first film and that helps you feel comfortable about watching it.
There is some really memorable stuff to be seen here.
Cheers,
Zux

I begin to notice that NPH is becoming the new cult icon like George Campbell used to be.
Yeah, he's pretty cool on-screen in stuff like H&K, How I Met Your Mother, and Dr. Horrible. Oddly, I have a friend who was acquainted with him in Alburquerque after Doogie Hauser ended. His impression of NPH was that he was an arrogant, uptight jerk.

See Penn and Teller Get Killed. The final scene made the entire film worthwhile for me.
