DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Yeah Erehe told you about Agathion. I know it’s been a long season. Heck - I’m out at midnight delivering food

LOL
At least you're being productive! ;P

I was just awake at midnight chatting with an old friend online
(While beating up virtual bad-guys) ;)

So I just did a thing. Spur of the moment. I might do more if there is interest. Mark/Vulcan/Blayze - If you want to explore a bit of Sigil on your own for a bit you now have a thread for that. See the threads above.

Awesome!

Soooo,...
I not sure if you are setting up something, or just giving a poilte, in-game hint to stop wasting so much valuable posting time traveling between places.

But I got caught up in the narrative. :)
(JUST like old times!) ;P

Of course, NOW I expect a giant tentacle or something to come out of the stupid drain! :P

That would be about the right speed for Justin's usual luck! :)

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Naw. Just moving the narrative along.

Chronicles of the Silver Rose: rules lite edition

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

It’s all make believe at the core. No real stakes in a sparring match scene.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

If anyone wants a separate ‘background’ thread for being in Sigil, speak up. These would be more exploration of Sigil and building organic connections to the inhabitants, not a full combat thing like the Sidequest thread has gotten to.

No complaints on my part, I've always been a big rules-lite fan.

I'm on the fence. Could be really interesting, but I'm a s%@@ roleplayer, and I don't want to make you do extra work for something that doesn't move the story along. Thoughts?

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

I enjoy ‘exploring’ Sigil. Non-combat stuff is easy for me, and the interaction with the weirder inhabitants is always interesting to me. If you want to
Give it a shot I’ll start a new thread once I can hit my computer

Dark Archive

Sounds good to me.

What the hell, why not. Not planning on anything as elaborate as what Hamar and Justin are up to, but we could try something quick & light. Again, only if you feel like investing the time.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

It's enjoyable for me to write up these vignettes. Long as I don't have to do a lot of maths

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

OK. New threads up

Cool!

I'm back! (finally) and I see I have some,... catching up to do. :P

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Since everyone seems to want to do some individual exploring of Sigil, I will say that you can all meet up at the Silver Rose for your debrief in the afternoon

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Rags/Justin - just as an FYI. I let that action stand, because Justin might not have understood much about Modron psychology but poor O.L.L.I is going to be 404ed for a long time. His brain was not prepared for that. It is far less flexible than others.

LOL, oh yeah, I hadn't even known/thought of that!

Well, Justin is learning.
He is a little slow at times,
But he IS learning,... ;P

JUSTIN would know, but I dont think I've ever asked.

Are there any rules, mystic restrictions or magic-nullifying effects in the Great Library?

Example, could one cast an invisbility spell or teleport spell or other 'harmless' (non-attack) spell inside? :D

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Anything evocation is suppressed. Also, anything flame related, even lighting a torch is impossible onsite

LOL,
Good thing that's NOT what I was thinking of then isn't it? ;P

Actually, for a library, that makes perfect sense. O_o

OK, I actually have two ideas (I had three, but he doesn't even have invis in his spell book! yet.) ;P

With Justin's luck, either way is gonna get him in trouble. :P

Let's flip a coin, and hope that the action he chooses gets him in LESS trouble than the usual! :D

(Anyone want to place any bets? Anyone?) ;)

LUV the side-treks by the way!

very entertaining and fun to read!

:)

LOL,

So simple, yet I can HEAR the shift in Hanali's tone and SEE her eyes narrow,...

"What is that?"

;)

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

This latest bit is turning into a comedy of errors …

I KNOW, Right?!?! O_o

(So WHY am I enjoying this so much?!?) ;P

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Good comedy improv?

LOL,
Thats part of it, but most of MY comedy isnt 'Improv' so much as remembering good lines from movies and using them! :)

Now that I think of it, the Comedy of Errors would have been trying to explain to Shaktal that O.L.L.I. was just taking a nap or something,...

I'm kinda glad I skipped THAT scenario, but now I kinda wonder how it would have went,....

,... sideways,... ;P

Probably. As an unusually young(er) wizard, I'm not yet aged enough to be stringy and tough. ;P

Heheh,...

James M. Keegan! Whatever happened to that guy?

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

He got married, and still persues a career in publishing

LOL!

Our square friend is a member of a 'friendly' BORG collective!

Yeah, REEEELY shoulda had Justin make make that K: check before giving 'that' information to OLLI.

YEah,.... ;P

ROFL,...
Now watch, this will actually work. And Justin will want credit for solving the problem!

(That, you know, HE created in the first place) ;P

I love this game. :D

Sovereign Court

Male hu-man Paladin

No, Olli isn't a member of a borg collective, he got the boot because he's a free thinker, he was pretty sad about it for a long time.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Yes indeed he is a rogue Modron. And he shouldn’t be worried about being hooked up to the Source (as the Modron Collective is known). Yet, here we are …

Justin says,... "You're Welcome??" ;)

Sigh, this is the problem of having a well-meaning moron play a highly intelligent character. They tend ot make mistakes.

Fortunately, his WISDOM has always been in question, so THAT makes it easier to play off. And it DOES provide many great RP'ing opportunities! :P

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Canny players should roll knowledge checks prior to actions

Canny players should have picked up that ‘don’t spread that name around’ is solid DM advice.

Canny players might have told O.L.L.I what happens if the name is said, then let him decide if it would be a good idea to share. Edit - I admit you did discuss that with O.L.L.I, in a certain fashion, but you didn’t pause between explaining it and giving him the name. I ruled that O.L.L.I would have looked, and thus be in his current state.

… Just saying :P

But yes, this is a hilarious role playing opportunity. And perhaps Justin will gain a little wisdom to temper his often rash enthusiasm.

LOL,... All true.

And yes, maybe JUSTIN will gain a (little) wisdom,...

His PLAYER on the other hand???? THAT is still open to debate. :P

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Just remember…

Your character knows things you don’t. That’s why we have Knowledge rolls. You put a lot of skill points into them to reflect their intelligence. Use them.

Please bear with me, been a long week

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Dude I know those feels
