I have changed Bedu's skills.
He now has Sense Motive and not Deception. Had to choose for now but in future he probably will not take any additional ranks in one of his Knowledge skills so that he can bluff a bit.
When the Beta rules come out in a month I shall get a printed copy and then hopefully things can settle down. Until next year!
Cheers

Hey folks,
Couple of things to keep in mind. Most important, perhaps, is ways to avoid miscommunications in combat. If you are doing something other than a standard move or attack, it can be helpful to put your actual action in [ ooc ] tags below your in-game description.
For example, taking Indo's recent action from the game thread:
Indo flips his big blade until he is running down the corridor with it behind him. When he nears one of the assailants, he lends both hands to the cause, swinging up and carrying his momentum into the blade.
Partial charge as standard action
<followed by Invisible Castle rolls>
It makes it easier for me to know what you want to do if you spell it out for me. :)
Also, let's try to keep the game thread as uncluttered with ooc posts as possible. That's what this discussion thread is for, after all. I don't mind an occasional ooc comment in a regular post, but please try to keep ooc chatter to a minimum in the game thread. Let's make the discussion thread a fun place to go too! :P
Thanks.

If you guys ever need a replacement player let me know, I read the game and fell in love...anyway get in touch if you need a replacement. Have fun guys!!
Thanks for the kind words, Larcifer. We've gone through two replacements so far, but if we have another opening, I'll let you know!

Alright folks,
So I'm about to go on vacation and a few others are also either on vacation or about to go too. And we just started a combat... :(
So here's the question:
Continue with the combat until tomorrow, at which point the combat and the game will be paused in the middle, and we'll pick it back up at the end of the month when I get back?
-or-
Would you like to take this opportunity (before combat begins) to leave the dungeon to rest and refit, and you can come back to it with fresh hit points and spells at the end of the month?

is the fight that tough? I'd say we finish this fight and then go up top
.
Of course, if that is not possible, going up for a rest and to go over what we've learned so far would be fine. We can role play a little...
...and make 126 PCs for a certain Gen Con event I'm fond of...
...until everyone gets back.

I won't say whether the fight is tough or not, but posting usually slows down on the weekend, and I'm leaving early Tuesday morning Euro-time (late Monday night for you folks in the US). I honestly don't think we'll have time to finish the fight before I leave, and I won't have regular email access (if any) until I get back. So rather than leave things right in the middle of combat, I thought I'd suggest option 2.
I'll wait a little while to see if anyone else chimes in, and if I don't have a mass revolt on my hands, I'll update on the game thread with some stuff as you leave the dungeon.

Back from GenCon, UK version - met the Paizo guys, and lots of other folks, and had a really good time (except for one morning after drinking too much with Nic Logue and Jason Bulhman the night before). So let the games continue!
EDIT: And apparently I'm Rob McCreary now, not SargonX, due to my contributor status (shameless plug). Looks like I'll have to create an alias to go back to being SargonX again...

Which contribution led to your Contributor status?
Along with many other great writers, I worked on the Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting (I wrote the sections on Geb, Katapesh, the Shackles, and Taldor). I should also have a few monsters coming out in some upcoming Pathfinder issues (#14 and #15, I think). That's it so far, but hopefully there will be some more stuff in the future!

I finally have the Beta hardcopy in my hands, which means we'll be updating to the Beta rules to give them a shakedown. If you don't already have them, you can download them for free here. So take a look, and see if anything changes for your character. On the plus side, we shouldn't have to update again for another year! :)

To keep things moving (particularly in combats), I've decided to go ahead and make rolls for people who don't post in a reasonable amount of time. I understand that people get busy, and there are always exceptions, but I did start this game requesting daily posting from people as much as possible, and sometimes it seems we end up waiting a couple of days for 1 or 2 people to post.
If you know you're not going be around or are going to be busy for a few days, just throw a quick post in the discussion thread to let me know, so everyone else isn't just waiting around. The pace of a pbp is frustratingly slow at the best of the times; I'm going to try and keep it from becoming glacially slow.
I hope this is okay with everyone - I don't want to play your characters for you (and roll for you), but I reserve the right to do so to keep things moving.
Cheers

Rob - I just got back from swopping house husband stories with a good friend of mine who lives nearby. Creighton said he gamed with you a couple of times at GenconUK and "you helped him" win the Pub Quiz.
Also showed me your scrawl in his pathfinder book.
Small world.
Cheers
Ha! Small world, indeed. Yeah, he was hanging out with Erik Mona (I think they know each other from the Living Greyhawk days, perhaps?) the first night when I had the honor of joining the "Coalition of the Willing" in winning the trivia quiz.
And then we played together in the Pathfinder Society's Silent Tide. We were both Taldorians, so got along quite well, and his cleric of Cayden Cailean was a lot of fun.
Creighton seemed like a really cool guy - tell him hi the next time you see him.

Rob - I know you are good with these details and have run combat really well. But I wanted to mention that my rolls did not include a bonus for the bless spell in case another point to hit and damage made a difference. You probably took it into account, but given our dire straits, I have to be sure.
I'll post Indo's desperate last round : } as soon as I know the thing is still untouched.
Bless doesn't give a bonus to damage, only to hit. And hitting it isn't the problem...
