According to Pathfinder #6's bestiary, Rune Ginats are gargantuan giants, but their space/reach is only 15' each. Is that intentional (gargantuan space is usually 20', and tall gargantuan critters have reach 20' as a rule), or is it an error? Are they supposed to be huge? or is it supposed to be 20' space (and probably reach, too).
Looking at things like size modifier and the damage their greatswords deal, it seems that gargantuan is as it is supposed to be.

It's an error. Rune giants are gargantuan... they're intended to be GIANT giants, which the game has few of. Their space/reach should be 20'/20'.

Thanks. I suspected as much, but it's good to have confirmation.
And, by the way: We were talking about the giant size issue the other day. When I mentioned that I'll get some more use out of the Gargantuan Dragon minis when I get to sic Rune Giants on my players, one of them commented how most giants hardly deserve that name. "Hill Giants? They're the same size as my horse! Those cloud giants are alright. But Gargantuan Giants are just awesome"
I still don't get why Titans are so puny. They should be Gargantuan, too. Maybe even Colossal.

To be fair: titans advance to Gargantuan, at which point they're using Colossal weapons. Plus at that point they get to use epic feats (as do any rune giants with at least one class level, incidentally).

My player was *seriously* impressed by the dead Rune Giant in #3. The PCs have been talking uneasily about whether they should raise it ever since they gained the ability to do so (it has Gentle Repose on it, they could!) but I don't think they have the guts.
I think their encounter with the real thing will be seriously memorable. I didn't think I was a fan of Really Big Monsters but this one is making me very happy.

Keep in mind that 12 feet tall is still mighty tall. Imagine standing next to a fire giant. Even if you're 6'5" (which is tall for a human), you're on eye level with his belt. That's BIG. Ogres and Trolls might not be too impressive (hardly bigger than Shaq, say), but they're not true giants.
(As a side note, Humans seem bloody big to halflings.)
I'd like to ask if the weight of a Rune Giant's thrown rocks is accurate. A Large rock would be bigger than me, and I'm not as dense as rock. Are Giant thrown rock sizes weapon sizes rather than creature sizes?

Weapon sizes are not the same as creature sizes. To a certain extent, listing sizes for giant-hurled rocks is an artifact from 3.0, when weapons all had their own size category track. A dagger was a small weapon and a greatsword was a large weapon. You can really just ignore the size listings for giant thrown rocks and the game doesn't change at all.

That makes more sense. Even under 3.0, I read 'Small Rock' as 'Rock the size of a halfling', not 'Rock that's a light weapon for a Hill Giant'. When it didn't change in 3.5, I figured I must have been right, since Small as a weapon size would have made even less sense for a giant.
But, if I understand you correctly, it's easy to mis-read, and it got missed in the 3.0-3.5 switch. It should have been amended to 'A thrown rock is a light weapon for the giant.', but wasn't.

It's fantastically tall. But in a fantasy world, fantastically isn't quite going to cut it. Those fire giants will be easy pray for, say, a roc. Or a Gread Red Dragon.
Towering behemoths that can reach over castle walls, now that is what I call a real Giant.

You're going to like what they do with Giants in 4th edition, then. They talk about exactly what you're saying here, that giants should be ... well ... giant.
I apologize for my ignorance, but I must ask where you're seeing this? According to Monsters and Worlds, 4th Edition giants come in two sizes: large and huge.

Somewhat on topic, if you're running the AP with minis, what is everybody going to use for the gargantuan giants?
I have the dragons and will use them. The size is right, that's good enough.
Those dragons have stood in for a lot of weird stuff in the last months: Colossal Spiders that were actually Centipedes, other monstrous vermin, magically enlarged (sorry, encolossaled) priestesses (no, she was not wearing a skirt so my players could get a peek), dragons...
They will bear being used for really big giants and demons.

Spawn NecroCop action figures.
(I don't think Paizo sells these, but if they do, I'll switch out the link immediately!)

Hmm, I like the Spawn one, and looking through those figures, this one looks good too:
