An Announcement for Pathfinder Subscribers!

Customer Service

Paizo Employee Director of Sales

Hey folks,

Some Pathfinder-only subscribers will be receiving a free copy of GameMastery Module U2: The Hangman's Noose with their shipment of Pathfinder Volume 6: Spires of Xin-Shalast.

This is a free gift from us going out to many (but not all) Pathfinder-only subscribers, selected at random. As this module is not a part of a subscription, you will not be getting the PDF for free. However, if you like what you see, I know a place where you can get PDF's of GameMastery modules for free. ;)

Thanks,
Cosmo

Spoiler:
It's like they say: The first one's free... :)

That's customer service!

You guys (and gals) are just determined to make me break the seals on my Pathfinder envelopes, aren’t you? I held out on the Christmas card; feel the everlasting power of my will! I wonder if I can get some high-powered light to shine through the envelope to determine if there is a freebie in there….

Dark Archive

Hi Cosmo,

On a related note, something I was thinking about the other day. If I subscribed to GamesMastry modules, and then proceeded to buy a module from before I subscribed, would I get the free PDF of it?

I would have expected not, but then, after Pathfinder 6 shipped (possibly with the replacemnet copy of 4, possibly not), I had a second set of downloads for Pathfinder 4 available.....

So, now I am confused...

Grrr! And I was holding out (since the first one!) until I had the set and then was gonna read them all! NOW I'm gonna haveta peek and see if there's an 'extra' in my envelope!

(Must, resist, opening,... until last,... issue!) ;P NOT!

Sneaky little devils.

My question becomes:

Is this a deliberate marketing effort, or were some boxes mis-packed and Paizo decided to run with it?

Either way, this seems like a good idea.

I was thinking the same exact thing. Brilliant way to turn a mistake into a plus.

I'll have to remember that one. Had one of those moments at work. Made my job simpler!

And now back to your regularly scheduled thread...

Ok, I gotta ask. Why aren't you opening the Pathfinder envelopes when you get them? Are you currently playing in a RotR game at the moment and don't want to see anything you think you shouldn't? Is there some other reason?

Awww shucks, nothing extra in my envelope. Has anyone received the extra module yet?

I had seen someone complaining about Paizo service on EnWorld, saying that he received U2 with his order....

No good deed goes unpunished.

Liberty's Edge

I received Pathfinder #6 today (along with the RotR item cards). Included in the box was a Paizo summer 2007 catalogue (huh?) but no U2 :-(

Well, if I had gotten U2, then I would have to have fed that damn band. I admit that I like their music, but not enough to feed them. ~looks around~ OH!!! The Gamemastery Module, U2.

I did receive the Hangmans Noose Mod. U2 but unfortunatly I subscribe so I had to pay for it. Its well worth it!!

Yay! Got my copy- it's been good enough that I'm seriously considering subscribing.
Pity there's no discount for subscribers, though.

Well, you get the free PDF, which is nice, and shipping is free if you consider that Pathfinder + a Module costs the same as just shipping the Pathfinder, and you already subscribe to Pathfinder.
