I noticed it yesterday afternoon/early evening. I was wondering myself. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
The site was unusable in here yesterday...
For me, it depends on browser. In Opera, the site times out; in Firefox, it takes a minute or more to load a page; in Explorer, it works fine.
Probably for about the last four to seven days. In the last two days, I’ve also noticed a pronounced delay cutting from the site and pasting into Word. I thought it was some odd quirk of my pc, but it happened last night at work as well in exactly the same fashion.
I'm glad to see it's not just me.
I've tried ie and firefox. Both are slow for me.

Yeah its running pretty slow for me too. But its odd because its going up and down. For a few minutes its running nice and smooth and then it slows right down - only to speed up again at random intervals.
Could it be the amount of traffic on the site?

It was the computer I was concerned about. Do whatever you want to your body.
One of our webservers freaked out over the weekend, but I didn't notice because my laptop was talking to a server that wasn't discombobulated. Vic noticed it yesterday evening and I came into the office and fixed it. So things should be back to normal now.

It was slow for me about 8 hours ago, REALLY slow. Now it's a little better. Everything else in North America is pinging fast and loading no problem.
Edit: and this edit loaded at the usual blindingly fast speed.

No attack—one of our servers had a runaway process, and wasn't answering requests. Our DNS configuration had a 50% chance of pointing to the deaf server upon initial request, so half the world could see us, and half the world couldn't.
It took me about 4 minutes to get from main to writing this post. Been like this for a few hours.
That was on firefox.
On explorer it's just a little slow.
What gives?
Working well for me in Firefox at the moment.
One of our servers was having a really bad morning. I fixed it a cup of coffee and gave it a muffin, and it seems happier now.
If I may be so bold...
Your servers seem to be having rough patches lately. You may need to start leaving pots of coffee, and trays of muffins.
Perhaps traffic is a bit higher than they are used too?
