Gyorgy Elberion
Having got used to standing behind three tough guys I am momentarily shocked and offended to have been hurt; this isn't supposed to happen!
"Why you little..."
I send a flash of divine fire toward the dazed goblin but am too busy nursing my wound to aim well.
Jeslara "Jessa" Eventide
Seeing Gyorgy's divine fire miss the target, Jessa attempts to summon forth her dagger to end the goblin's life for him.
Melee attack with dagger using hand of the acolyte... 1d20+3 = 4 to hit
Confirm critical fumble...? 1d20+3 = 9 to hit
DM Wicht
Jessa mismanages her arcane ability and fatigues herself mentally and magically. She is unable to cast a spell for 1 round.
Eugen meanwhile cuts down the dazed goblin.
Mitnal quickly overtakes the other goblin as he runs through the throne room and into the hallway Eugen had just opened moments before. The goblin turns and attacks with a dogslicer, hissing like a snake.
Mitnal almost runs onto the blade but manages to stop himself in time.
Kenzo and Mitnal may both attack.
Mitnal
Mitnal bashes away at the goblin but with no luck.
1d20+3=7, 1d8+2=9, 1d20+1=9, 1d6+2 =5
"Don't hiss," he growls. "It's distracting."
Gyorgy Elberion
"Oh...wow..." Jessa winces and sways on her feet as the hovering dagger returns. "I feel woozy all of a sudden," she tells Gyorgy, "Maybe I overdid it a bit?"
"I get that sometimes. It only lasts a moment usually, but it gives me awful headaches."
Then I remember where we are and move up to join Eugen; "Nice one."
Kenzo
Kenzo leaps into the air to kick the goblin, but he has to adjust his attack to avoid Mitnal as the large barbarian side steps the goblin & his dog slicer.
Attack 1d20=1+3=4, Damage 1d6=1+1=2
Wow, I've gotten some bad rolls from IC before, but I don't think I've ever rolled snake eyes before.
Mitnal
Mitnal attacks the fleeing goblin. 1d20+3=14, 1d8+2=8
Jeslara "Jessa" Eventide
Jessa finally hurries past Gyorgy and Eugen.
"C'mon! We better go help the others before they run headlong into who knows what..."
Blackwing darts ahead of her, flapping down the hall more quickly than Jessa can keep up.
Blackwing has a Fly speed of 40 feet. So I'm sending him ahead to help keep an eye on Mitnal and Kenzo until Jessa can arrive.
Mitnal
"Hah, Mitnal that's brilliant!"
I run after him with the others.
Mitnal looks back at Eugen a little confused. 'Brilliant?' he worries. 'No one has ever said that about one of my ideas before. We must be making a terrible mistake.'
He continues to chase the goblin.
Jeslara "Jessa" Eventide
"Wait! We're making a terrible mistake!" Jessa feebly calls out, falling behind the more athletic members of the party to come alongside somewhat-winded Gyorgy. "What if they run right into Nualia and her whole goblin army?" she frowns at him.
If any of us get close enough for a ranged attack, Jessa will risk firing off a ray of frost at the goblin.
Kenzo
Jeslara "Jessa" Eventide
'A child of Desna?!' Jessa thinks, 'He's a Shoanti. He'd be more likely to follow a totem-spirit or just about anything other than the goddess of Varisians.'
She continues pacing Gyorgy, unwilling to leave him and unable to keep up with the other boys. 'But at least Blackwing's keeping an eye on them,' she reassures herself.
Blackwing, Jessa's Familiar
'I wonder if there's anything shiny in here?' Blackwing muses as he wings his way down the corridor, 'Surely these goblins keep some kind of treasure about. Maybe that's what was in that chest I helped dig up?'
He pauses a second and looks around as he glides.
'Now where'd that Shoanti go?'
DM Wicht
The goblin flees down the hallway, back into the first room the companions entered in the complex. The goblin reaches the furthest door on the north wall and moves to open it.
Mitnal, hard on his heels, can make a single attack as the goblin tries to open this new door to flee through it.
Meanwhile, Mitnal's companions are just a few seconds behind him. Close enough to make the barbarian feel supported, far enough away that they can't stop him from giving chase.

"He's good with dogs?" i ask, breathing a little heavy.
"Druids," replies Mitnal in his 'I'm explaining things' voice (which he doesn't get to use very often), "can talk to animals and stuff. Let the druid through."
I'll be offline for a few days this week starting sometime tomorrow morning. Sorry. NPC me if necessary.

Eugen Enescu wrote:"He's good with dogs?" i ask, breathing a little heavy."Druids," replies Mitnal in his 'I'm explaining things' voice (which he doesn't get to use very often), "can talk to animals and stuff. Let the druid through."
"weird! I bet they're terrible conversationalists," I say, mostly to myself. "The dogs I mean."
DM Wicht
The entire party is soon gathered with Mitnal in the first room of the fort. There are still dead goblins on the floor here. The door through which the goblin entered is open and a wide open area with a trampled grass floor can be seen on the other side. the goblin that ran through is out of sight but can be heard talking to someone or something in goblin. About forty feet away, rising to its feet, the group can see a goblin dog on the far side of the courtyard.
Gyorgy Elberion
I gulp down a little extra breath
"I think this is called 'losing the advantage of surprise'."
I look at Mitnal and then Kenzo; "Those awful Goblin Dogs only seem to listen to Goblins, can you really control them, Kenzo?"
Jeslara "Jessa" Eventide
"Control them?" Jessa scoffs as she's the last to arrive, "Whatever do you mean? Kenzo adheres to the monastic tradition like some of the Tian Xia or Vudrani. Did someone think he was a druid or something? Ha! As if! Right, Kenzo?"
She leaves the rest of her question unanswered as she peers past the door at the goblin dog. "Oh, no. Not more of those hideous things! Can't we just put an end to them all?"
She readies her dagger in the event she needs to launch it at the animal with her magic. "Well, don't just stand there. Let's send a volley of arrows at it first."
Kenzo

"Me?" Kenzo says with a little surprise. "I'm not a dog handler, if you could call those disgusting things dogs. Hell, I don't even want to fight those mangy beasts."

Mitnal's Initiative: (1d20+5=11)
Goblin Dog Initiative: (1d20+2=20)
Four Goblin Dogs rush towards the door behind which the party is standing. They can't all attack but the one in the lead charges at Mitnal, whining and biting.
Charging Bite Attack at Mitnal: (1d20+2+2=21)
Damage: (1d6+3=5)
Mitnal needs to make a fortitude save.
Gyorgy Elberion
For Mitnalfortitude save (1d20+5=16)
I reflexively send a ray of divine fire toward the dog that struck Mitnal.
[ooc]I messed up my roll (should be a +4, not a +7) so it is actually 24 to hit. I guess it doesn't matter with a natural 20...
DF (1d20+7=27, 1d6+2=5)
"Beasts!"
Gyorgy Elberion
Gyorgy: You can roll for a possible critical.
I didn't realise I could crit. with divine fire.
Invisible Castle is down, so either you can roll a real dice for me or I'll do it later.
Jeslara "Jessa" Eventide
Jessa mentally launches her dagger at another dog, hoping to injure some of the ones the others can't reach because of the door.
Invisible Castle is down. Rolling from home, I get...
Ranged attack with dagger using hand of the acolyte... 1d20+3 = 15 to hit
Damage... 1d4+2 = 5 hp
DM Wicht
You can crit. with any attack that requires a d20 roll. Anyone who wants to roll for Gyorgy feel free.
Both the dagger and the divine fire slam into the first of the dogs. [ooc]Total damage will exceed its hps but we'll still wait and see if the threat is confirmed before describing the extent of the dogs injuries.
Jeslara "Jessa" Eventide
IC is still down. And I don't have dice handy here at the office to confirm Gyorgy's threat.
Also, I was actually attempting to have Jessa strike one of the dogs behind the one Gyorgy is blasting, since she can "levitate" the dagger further into the room and avoid the logjam at the door.
