Tuon tries to grab another moment with Carri or the caravan leader and explain about borrowing a wagon.
If not possible then he will try to find out where to buy a cheap cart or wagon and a mule.
Then back into town for those supplies.
I have simplified things above to try and speed things up a little.
Have someone throw out a Diplomacy check to see if Carri will lend you a wagon. She is not going to let one go easily after loosing two already.
Bri Leagallow
Works for me Bri waits for Tuon to finish talking with Carri and then heads to town with him. Once entering town Bri heads towards the Wizards Place to pick up anything that may be needed. I am not sure what we will be needing anybody want to fill me in? Diplomacy Check: natural 18
Creed of Kord
Creed has some adventuring gear on him--rope, rations, water, and the like. He does need to carry his own healer's kit so that he doesn't need to keep borrowing Rod's.
Creed follows, his spirits higher than they were this morning. "I will need some supplies for tending wounds--bandages, ointments, and the like. Perhaps some potions of healing would be in order, yeah?"
Fair Tuon Clawed
Tuon would have indicated Bri take the lead in negotiations, if she was willing and he would have tried to help by a) aiding her shmoozing and b)keeping Creed and Skid away from Carri. Aid another roll nat 20 rolled!
Tuon thinks about the situation.
"We also could do with protecting against magic and arrows, that sort of potion would help, although Creed's definitely right about healing."
DM Dreamweaver
Carri looks down as she thinks about Bri and Tuon's request, "I will tell you what, I was going to offer a small reward if you find the raiders and return Keith's body if at all possible. You can have one of my wagons, BUT I want it back if you don't find them. If you do find them and return my wagon and Keith's body you will get 200 gold, no wagon no gold. Stop by before you leave and we will have your wagon ready with empty crates and all."

For Verzale
Dagmar wonders to and fro exploring the surroundings he is unfamiliarly with. At some point you realize he has fallen behind and as you look back you spot a group of adventurers walking behind you. Suddenly the large half-orc in the group grasps his head and falls to the ground screaming.
For the rest of the group
With a little asking around and several 'Just head toward the dark tower' the group is soon walking along the street leading to the Onyx Tower. The tower seems to be made of black marble with a flat observation floor soaring three hundred feet from the ground. As you near the tower a white wolf trots by you catching up to a man dressed in some nice studded leather armor crafted to blend in to the tree and rock. As the man looks back and his green and blue eyes fall on Scardd the half-orc freezes and clutches his head as he lets out a terrible scream.

"What happened?"
With a small gesture, Verzale brings Dagmar to his side and hurries to the group.
Great Gods of the Green, what on earth happened here? All he did was look at me. I need to placate this lot or they'll have me in bits.
"I didn't think I looked that bad. Can I help your friend? I have healing skills. If you'll trust me to use them of course. Wouldn't blame you if you didn't..."
Verzale trails off. Unable to think quite what to say he offers a nervous smile and empty hands.
Fair Tuon Clawed
"She may have hit Scarrd with a mind blast."
He starts to lower the sword but only an inch or two. The mercenary's jaw juts out and he fixes the pale wolf with a look of angry hatred. His scarred face is rigid and the cuts stand out swollen with red blood.
"Wolves last night came out of nowhere, wolves now. I hate effin' wolves!"
Verzale
Verzale's face tightens at Tuon's words.
"Dagmar is my loyal companion and I raised her from birth. She can no more mind blast than I can fly. I assure you, if either of us meant harm to your friend, our methods would have been far more direct."
Don't antagonise them. Keep calm. Verzale pulls himself together.
"As you see, I am weaponless, Dagmar is seated, we present no threat. In fact, I have offered my help. Do you want to attract still more attention to your screaming friend?"

"What are you talking about?" says Skidd nervously. "Wh-why would we need help?"
DM Dreamweaver
Scardd's eyes roll back in his head and he starts muttering incoherently but he has lost all of his accent. "...I pledge.....AAAAHHH, it hurts." He grabs his chest over his heart. "...burns...must tell Hurst...they are coming". He goes rigid and a black mist starts pouring out of his mouth and quickly starts spreading. With in seconds you can only see shapes in the mist. You can hear Scardd go limp and lay motionless on the ground.
Verzale
Verzale frankly gapes at the halfling.
"Your friend drops screaming to the ground, spews black smoke, utters strange warnings and you don't think you need help? Your world is very different to mine."
Verzale kneels beside the fallen half-orc.
"Someone help me here. I don't want to be accused to hurting him. I don't know if we can save him, but part of my job is healing. Help me!"
Creed of Kord
Creed looks in shock at the fallen Scardd. "Everyone calm down. Calm DOWN, Tuon!" This is the first time anyone has ever heard Creed shout, his voice booms across the pavement.
He kneels down and examines Scardd to see what he can see.
Creed's Search and Heal rolls, in that order (1d20-1=11, 1d20+6=15).

Skidd stutters. "I-I'm sorry. I thought you referred to something else. I don't think you hurt him. Or, I don't think you meant to. What is your name? Never mind, there will be time for that later. Scarrd! What are you talking about? Who is coming?"
Verzale
Seeing that Creed knows what he is about, Verzale concentrates on identifying anything recognisable in the fast dissipating smoke.
"If I can help, please tell me. Between us we may save him."
If I can aid another, that's a +2 to Creed's heal. Verzale's spot is [15,7] = (22)
EDIT - Skidd was posting at the same time as me
Glancing quickly up, he adds "My name's Verzale. I didn't hurt him. Odd way to meet."

For Creed
Suddenly a large wind picks up and the black mist is swept away.
"What is the meaning of all this?" Standing with the Onyx Tower behind her is an older women with her hand pointed your way. Her piercing blue eye clash with her inch long red hair and her red dress whips in the wind she is producing.
Verzale
Keeping a protective hand on Dagmar, Verzale watches as events unfold.
"Seemingly we've fallen among interesting people." he murmers more to himself than anyone else.
The combination of his own startling looks and the white she wolf at his side make it impossible for him to be inconspicuous, so he simply waits to see what happens. Instinct suggests that a hand on a dagger would be helpful, but he doesn't want to move in case the huge bloke with the longsword gets excited.

Hey All, I have having to deal with some medical things with my father so things will be a little crazy for me for a bit but Dreamweaver will be around so don't worry about that.Check the discussion thread for the whole deal(Any of you live near Denver?) Ok now that all of that is said and done lets get to the good stuff. Bri had been wondering a bit away from the group when she hears Scardd scream and goes running back to the group. When she reaches the group she sees a strange man and wolf companion kneeling near Scardd, Bri feeling defensive goes up and kicks the strange man in the butt, "Get away from him! What did you do to him?" Bri says and she looks to see if Scardd is even breathing or not. "Is anybody going to tell me what happened?" Bri then turns back to the strange man," If you did nothing to him I am sorry for kicking you, but if you did do something to him than I am not sorry." Bri says to the man in a matter-of-fact voice.

Skidd sighs. "Bri, he did nothing. Do you think we would be just standing here if he had?"
Verzale
Verzale just stops himself from thumping the halfling woman.
"Do that under less awkward circumstances and you'll feel Dagmar's teeth and my fist. For now we'll call it quits. Don't lay hands or feet on me again. For what it's worth, I was trying to help your friend. I'm wasting my time."

"Lady, who are you to question us anyway? You from the Tower?"
She glares at Tuon but starts forward towards Scardd ignoring him. "Put the away before you hurt some one." gesturing towards his sword. "What is the matter with him? Has he done this before?"
Fair Tuon Clawed
Tuon steps in front of her.
"Give me a reason to trust you and I'll answer your questions. This one at least had the decency to offer help healing my friend before I let him near Scarrd."
Tuon's blunt angry comments are fuelled by the wolven presence. He begins to fall into the prepared mental focus to call on his more violent powers.
"Well, can you help him? Who are you?" he adds through gritted teeth, seconds away from fighting.
Concentration check natural 20+10=30 to attain mental focus if she declines to answer. Tuon eye's will go to red gems at this point.

The women stops in front of Tuon, "Be at ease I mean you no harm, I am Killian Valin, I own the Wizards Cupboard right there." she finishes by pointing to a store front across the street. "I have experience with magic and your friend is displaying some magical talents if he created that mist. May I take a look at your friend."
Skiddifig Hahdrik
Deeply concerned by the look on the scarred man's face, Verzale looks to the others for advice.
"Dagmar's presence seems to be seriously enraging your large sword-wielder. Will it help if I ask her to hide?"
"I don't understand it either," Skidd whispers to Verzale, I just know that he obviously doesn't like wolves."
Verzale
"Trouble is like my sister, I know her so well. Still, if it helps diffuse some tension..."
Verzale touches the she-wolf and gives a low command. Dagmar trots quietly into the shadows, out the the group's line of sight.
"Not sure it'll make much difference. He knows she's still there."
Verzale shrugs.
"Worth a try though. Now, what's our mystic red-head going to do with your fallen friend?"
Creed of Kord

Killian kneels down and looks at Scardd. "Well healer your spell didn't seem to work." she say looking at Creed. "Is he a sorcerer? He doesn't seem like he has control of his powers." She closes her eyes and whispers some quiet words and looks over Scardd. "It doesn't look like he is under any magical cures or compulsions. What can you tell me about him."

"Not much, I'm afraid, that would help. Oh, he could send this odd blast at enemies. I've never seen the like of it before."
Verzale
Shrugging slightly, Verzale steps aside.
So the priestly type is called Creed, that ferocious halfling woman is Bri, the halfway polite halfling is Skidd. Looks like Tuon must be the swordsman and Scarrd the half-orc. Glad I've got that straight. I'm going to bruise where the cow kicked me. Don't know that I blame her though - I've got a quick temper myself
"I think I'll be joining you. I've got a vested interest in clearing my name. And Dagmar's."

Verzale smiles grimly.
"Do you want to take Keeper's Dale apart looking or me? Look at like this, if I am responsible, you get to try and kill me and Dagmar. If I'm not you get to buy me a lot of apologetic drinks. Either way, you need me around."
