I think the anticipated release date of 5e is 2010. This gives us three years to buy up all the 3e and 3.5 supplements in their $29.95 4e upgrades. Maybe 2011 is more realistic.

All kidding and po'd sarcasm aside, in a way I'm glad WotC killed Dragon and Dungeon. Those magazines would have kept me up with what's to come and the inclination to stay with the group. But now that I'm liberated from such, I can look at WotC with a much more reserved and skeptical light ... and keep playing 3.5 while I do.
