Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

When will this be available for download? I am a subscriber and wanted to download it. Being that copies are being sold at Gen Con as we speak I would have thought this would already be up for us.

If you take your time to look around, you'll find this thread centers on your very query, and this thread gives the potential time frame.

I received the download link for Pathfinder #1 in the mail today. I was quite amused by the lackluster attempt at a digital watermark. Just enough of an effort to try to keep most people honest, but not enough to kepe the serious file trader from being able to remove it.

However, I was quite annoyed that the download was a ZIP file consisting of multiple PDF's. I would much have preferred a single larger PDF instead of breaking it into smaller grouped sections. Looks like I will need to use a PDF writer to combine all of the files into a single PDF myself for easier usability.

I just got mine download let me say it looks and seems every bit as kewl as it sounds. So far the only complaint I have is the multiple zip files as well. Makes readng it hard, but I do think it may help when it come to using the info on game day.

Going back to reading and hoping the drool will not harm the laptop.

Will definately be easier to GM with, allowing someone to keep their place on each PDF just by having them both open. I'd hate having to scroll thru multiple pages to get back to the encounter I want after I just scrolled up to a certain page to read some information on Sandpoint. Although I will admit that bookmarks could've been used to make this just as simple by bookmarking each encounter OR every 3-5 encounters or so, then bookmark the Points of Interest inside Sandpoint.

Bear in mind - some bits are DM only and some are not. Separating them might make accidental "contamination" less likely. That said, I don't have mine yet, so can't say if they are broken up on this basis.

Hm... I kinda like the personalization... though I think I'd rather have mine say "My Pathfinder, b#~%%es!".

Private joke, there.

It might be done in alphabetical order. My name starts with "H".

The Exchange

I don't think so - mine starts with F, and I don't have mine yet.

Dark Archive

ARGH!

Waiting is always the hardest part...

Don't think its alphabetical, my last name begins with a M. Maybe based on when you placed your pre-order?

Got it last night! Excellent work. I don't mind the splitting up of pdfs...makes it easier to send specific stuff to the players.

I joined up pretty early - months ago. There presumably is a reason, but it is possibly not obvious.

Emails are being sent (and downloads made available) as the orders are processed, so they're rolling out over time. Basically (from late yesterday):

Domestic shipping began with UPS shipments (of which there were only a few dozen). Then we went to folks who have charter Pathfinder subscriptions shipping with GameMastery Modules subscriptions - they're getting Pathfinder 1, Player's Guides, and Module D2. Right now, we're working on the biggest group, which is charter subscribers without Modules subscriptions - so folks who are getting Pathfinder 1 and the Player's Guide. After that, we'll do the folks who chose Pathfinder as their transition option, but haven't yet signed up for ongoing subscriptions - they're getting only Pathfinder 1. In each group, shipments are sorted by zone, with the ones that have to travel the furthest going out first. The whole process, we estimate, will take around 13 hours of printing, so it won't be finished tonight.

They're on their way!

Still don't have it... I need my fix quick... pleaaase !

Anyone know - and when, if a yes - if PF1 will be available just as a PDF purchase? And is there an option to subscribe to the PDF-only version.

Mail costs make it worthless sending to South Africa... far easier just to print out here...

Anyone 'official' able to advise? I'm sure in the early news there was something about buying just the PDFs.

I hope so... I'm dying to DM this... it's the first release since the whole 3e thing happened that has got me interested in running a campaign!

And, for the record, I hope Paizo stays with the 3.5 SRD forever for Pathfinder, as don't feel like switching systems in the middle of one world (I know PF will be different campaigns each month, but to me one world should stick with the same rules for its lifespan... look what 1e/2e/3e did to GH)...

Pls don't forget opening request re the PDF-alone purchase... .

Well, I would have thought I was in the second group and I'm also overseas (in the UK) and should have had my pdf. I'll leave it a bit longer....

EDIT: Just saw the rest of Vic's post (on another thread) where he talks about overseas sales. I am now slightly mollified.

I believe the pdf version is going to be up for sale at the same time the book hits the public stands, which should be around August 28th (IIRC).

Don't think there's a subscription option just for the pdfs, but if you make enough noise, they might consider it. ;-)

What else does Vic say ? - I can't find the other thread you mention. I'm in the Uk too and I can't abide the waiting !!!!!

EDIT: Don't worry. Found it. The frustration continues !!!

August 29th. No plans for PDF-only subscriptions, because the price would be the same—$13.99 per volume. If you like, you can think of the subscription as buying a PDF-only subscription and getting a hardcopy for the price of shipping (which, by the way, can be had for no more than $5 anywhere in the world).

At what point do we start to worry about not getting a pdf link? I'm in Canada, received an email that my Pathfinder order shipped about a week ago, but I still haven't received a notice that the PDF is available.

Of course, I'm probably clogging the server with my continued refreshes of the My Downloads page. Cursed intertubes!

:)

that was most likly the "in about a week Pathfinder WILL ship so make sure you have money on your card" email. The first group of subscribers got Pathfinder itself shipping yesterday

International orders start tomorrow, I think. I'm in the same boat as you.

Oh sure... make me go back and reread the email and not read in what I wanted it to say :)

My bad. I'll continue to wait as patiently as possible ;)
