Wow.
Wow!
WOW!
Issue 359 is amazing. The mysteries of D&D are great, the list of villains is full of evil and nostalgia. The time dragon is a cool monster, the info on the tarrasque is long-wanted. The cover looks great, Phil & Dixie are back, cameos are made by EVERYONE in the comics, and the poster is so cool that I CAN'T DECIDE WHICH SIDE TO PUT UP ON MY WALL!

Thank you so much Paizo for so many years of a great magazine. I know we've known this and said it for months now, but when you actually get the final issue in your hands...it's overwhelming.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Oh my God. So great.
*breathes*
Just thank you so much. I love this issue and I love all of the Dragon and Dungeon mags I own. I can't wait for Pathfinder and I hope it turns out as great as the mags.
Just once more and I'm done.
THANK YOU!

So it is with great sadness I post this, not at what I say, but at the end that is.
Paizo Publishing, all of you, great work. You all put out something of a dual thankful/thankless job, and had many emails and fan letters (or hate mail in some cases, see issue 300). I believe that you are a great company. I'm sad to see the Dragon go. OotS, What's New, and everything else was fitting. A great end to a great magazine, I only wish there were more coming.
I tip my glass to you all, and bid thee well until we meet again.

On the plus side, I loved the poster. Just loved it.

I came back to Dungeon and then to Dragon Magazine after a long hiatus. What I saw initally disapointed me. A single adventure, with Polyhedron added to the mix. I enjoyed bits of Polyhedron when it pertained to Greyhawk lore. I could have done without the homage to Joisie and the Pussycats.
The readers asked for more content, and more adventures. Paizo delivered. Nowhere to go but down I suppose.
Thanks to Wolfgang Bauer, James Jacobs, Erik Mona, and more unnamed writers, artists and of course Christopher West. A fantastic job well done.
Encore.
Matt W.

Wait...is it the exact same poster that came with Incursion? the one with the Githyanki and city on the dead god's back on the flip-side? because if it is then that really sucks...what with me buying the magazine this originally came with only a month and a half ago.
No, it's not exactly the same. The reverse of this poster shows all the covers of Dragon and Dungeon put out by Paizo.

For my additional cover price, I demand a portrait of Raistlin grinding Elminister into grimy paste, and then force feeding that paste to Mordenkainen with a grapefruit spork.
Ah, see, I tried to get the opposite art ordered: Elminster atomizing Raistlin and spraying those atomized droplets up Mordy's nose. ;D

Excellent, excellent issue guys and gals. I just finished reading through 359 cover to cover not 5 minutes ago, and while I'm filled with that bittersweet feeling you might get when turning the last page of a favorite novel, or that when taking that last look across an amazing vacation vista, I'm also filled to bursting with an incredible sense of gratitude. Thank you.

I haven't gotten my issue yet (*sniff, sniff, sob*), but, hey, Raistlin--he could have beaten the QoD, so there's no way any puny punks like El or Mordy could have done more than make him sneer in derision...right? Wait--never mind, I'll wait for the issue. Just one caveat: things had better go the way I say, or I'll cancel my subscription...ha, ha...wait...that's not funny. Now I'm depressed... where's that 'Things that Suck' thread... :-(

I finally picked up my copy of #359 yesterday, and I have to say that for the most part I was impressed. Even the D&D mysteries article was pretty cool. My favorite parts of the magazine were:
1. The class acts bit referring to the Queen of Air and Darkness.
2. The "Raistlin Wins" part of Elminster vs Raistlin (as if that old poser could ever win anything without help from some god or other).
3. The Ecology of the Tarrasque - especially how it sees pretty much everything as food.
4. The Demonomicon: Apocrypha - haven't read through the whole thing yet, but what I skimmed over I liked.
5. The Greyhawk magic items of the Company of Seven.
All-in-all, thanks for the great issue(s). Even though, technically, the mags will be continued on WotC's website, it just won't be the same. I will miss both of these magazines.
Unfortunately for you guys, you can't get rid of me that easily. I expect to be "hanging around" here on these boards with the Paizo community for a long time.

By the way, at the same time I was purchasing the last issue of Dragon, I also picked up the Pathfinder Player's Guide and Issue #1. I took just a quick look through so far, but what I saw really impressed me.
