SPOILER ALERT
Anyone else find the amount of treasure to be too powerful(both magical and non-magical)? Mithral fullplate, +1 battle axe, grasp of droskar, flaming daggers, human-bane weapon, Kobold's crown, heartripper blade ect.... Maybe I am just too old school(or maybe just too old). I like the story alot(finished reading the PDF), but the treasure seems a bit much.....

I haven't read D1 yet, but I saw in another thread that the author (Nic Logue) mentioned he may have skewed the adventure a little too heavily on the treasure/rewards. He indicated that's his own play-style. But apparently the editors didn't scale it back down any. Nevertheless, you've still got your own options for modifying it if you want. Take off the bane ability...switch out the mithral fullplate for chainmail...tone down the flaming daggers...and so on. Some have even mentioned making the Kobold's crown flawed in some manner so it isn't useable (due to size constraints or failing magic) by the PCs.
Hope that helps,

The adventure is meant to cover several levels (2-4th or 5th, I believe)
so the party would definately need to find some decent magical gear, especially since the town is limited to a 1500ish gp limit. Some of the objects mentioned are also a curse or evil. The heartripper blade for instance. Sure the party found it but they would need to sacrifice people each time they want to use it's powers. Not exactly useful! The Grasp of Droskar also struck me as a curse in a way. I picture the dwarven PC with the big 2-handed weapon slipping this on and suddenly losing the ability to wield his weapon of choice (that he may have spent several feats on so far). Sure the Guantlet is cool if you intend to TWF but if you wish to weild a shield you are screwed and 2 handed weapons are out of the picture.
The rest or the stuff isn't that bad. Human-bane, meh. The mithral plate is nice but not really over-powered.
Just my thoughts.
