You see a small(obviously)halfling emerge from the group of kobolds and begin to run away. He is about four feet tall and wears white shirt and green leggings, he has childlike features and looks as though he is enjoying himself running away from them. he has brown hair and eyes and carries a long stick that splits at the end holding a sling and at the bottom, copper plating. he is dancing away leading them straight towards you. he hasn't noticed you yet.

Anarath Coldblood |

Strange, one of my posts from yesterday seems to have disappeared. I had asked how wide the top of the wall we are on is, and if there is any sort of cover up here? And how far from us are the kobolds?
As for the winged thing, my bad, for some reason I had assumed that the thing dohrlok spotted had wings – I don’t know why I thought that.

Arctaris |

The wall that you stand upon is about 5ft wide and is covered in many places by a slick green moss and dotted with small pools of foul smelling brackish water. There is a small barier on both sides of the space on top ofthe wall, about 4ft tall. If one was to crouch down very low or be very small cover could be gained from it.
Okay, I was afraid I'd forgotten something. You'll gain total cover if you crouch down very low behind the barrier on top of the wall. You'll gain partial cover fom standing behind it.

Anarath Coldblood |

Seeing that the kobolds are obviously hostile, Anarath acts quickly. Dropping into a crouch behind the low parapet, and mentally urging Midnight to also drop down out of sight, the elf runs mentally runs through his prepared spells, before an evil grin momentarily flashes over his face.
Spitting out a hasty arcane phrase, Anarath points his outstretched finger at the armoured, greatsword wielding reptilian. Instantly, a coruscating ray springs from his finger and lances down towards the kobold.
Casting Ray of Enfeeblement on the one with the greatsword. Ranged touch attack: 12+2=14. If this is enough to hit (I hope so, since it bypasses armour and natural armour), the kobold loses 3+1= 4 points of strength.

Arctaris |

The kobold weilding the greatsword is struck by the ray of your spell and is visibly weakend as the spell saps much of his strength. He seems weighed down by his armor and looks as though he can barely lift his large weapon. He stops moving towards you and begins to run as fast as he is able towards the massive ironclad doors of the Manor which are just barely visible. The other kobolds seem hesitant to approach you now that they have seen what you can do to one of their strongest warriors. Seeing that his troops are faltering, the yellow robed kobold (who seems to be in charge) shouts "In the name of the King, control your fear! They are merely worthless human dregs who reject the King! They will fall before the might of the strength granted to you by our patron! Kill them all except for the little one and the one who weakend K'shzan. Capture them and tonight we fill eat well! in a reedy yet charismatic voice. The kobolds seem to take heart from his speech and begin to move forwards with renewed vigor.
The kobolds are now about 25ft from you, with the archers about 30ft farther back. The halfling is now about 15ft from you. Corvin, your turn. Still awaiting Scrumble and Gawlak's initiative.

Arctaris |

Jumping (a move action) cannot be performed in the same round as a charge (a full round action). Sorry, forgot about Corvin's posting schedule.
Channeling Corvin...
Corvin leaps off of the wall and begins to move towards the nearest kobold (the black robed one) as fast as is armor allows, screaming out an incoherent stream of insults.
Channeling Gawlak..
Initiative: 10
I'm going to give him until tonight to perform his actions.
Scrumble, roll initiative.

Jumping (a move action) cannot be performed in the same round as a charge (a full round action). Sorry, forgot about Corvin's posting schedule.
How about if they were close enough to jump directly in to combat with? Would the jump then count as a charge (assuming you did well enough on the jump check to reach them and not land prone?)

Arctaris |

As long as they were a five foot step away from your landing location then, yes, I would allow that to count as a charge. They are however 15ft away. Scrumble, if you have any other actions please post them now. Yes it is Gawlaks turn.
Channeling Gawlak...
Gawlak crouches behind the barrier on top of the wall and begins to cast a spell, praying for kord to grant them strength for the upcoming battle. Then he draws his morningstar and readies himself to smash anything that climbs up the wall.
Casting Bless. +1 on all atacks and saving throws against fear for 1 minute to all allies within 50ft.

Arctaris |

The kobold crossbowman emerges from where he was crouching, fires a bolt at the shouting Corvin which bounces off of his armor ineffectually and then the kobold crouches down again begins to rearm his crossbow.
The kobold archer besides him fires a arrow at the fleeing Scrumble, in hope of disabling him but it flies past him and lands in the grass some twenty yards away.
The kobold in the black robe takes something out of his robe and begins to make gestures that seem familiar to Anarath Spellcraft to identify and seems to speak softly. You feel a strange drowsieness begins to overtake everyone except for the fleeing Scrumble, Corvin and Gawlak and then he retreats behind the same chunk of stone as the archers.
The kobold in the yellow robe casts a spell that visibly bolsters his allies.
Will saves please.

Arctaris |

Yes he is, but I'd forgotten about him (I plan to make it so that he can begin play again, should Grim return). I guess I'll be NPCing him until then. If somone else wanted to NPC him it would be great, since I also have to NPC Corvin most of the time until he comes back.
Edit: Never mind about NPCing Greis, I think I knwo someone who could do it.

Anarath Coldblood |

Well, the monk acts ahead of me, but in case I don’t get a chance to post for a while after he does, and so Corvin can post on Saturday if he gets a chance – I’ll post my action now. This happens after Dohrlok’s action. Oh, and if Scrumble wants to act, he goes before me too.
Was anyone affected by the sleep spell?
The yellow robed one certainly seems to be the leader of the band, and is casting useful looking spells on it’s companions. Anarath is not sure that there is much in his own meagre spell arsenal that will be terribly effective against the kobold. Instead he readies the longbow that he took from Segwin, and aims it at the yellow-robe, the only kobold that has not yet taken cover behind the stone, and let’s the arrow fly.
Is Segwin’s bow made for a strength modifier of greater than +0? If so, Anarath finds it difficult to bend the bow, and suffers a –2 penalty to hit. I have not factored that penalty into my result.
Attack roll: 17 (cool!) + 2 (dex) +1 (masterwork): 20
Damage: 8 (double cool!)

Arctaris |

Dohlrok, I'm still awaiting your Will save against the Sleep spell. Other than possibly Dohlrok, no one was affected. There is no Strength bonus on the longbow.
Anarath's arrow strikes true, burrowing deep into the yellow-robed kobold's chest. He shrieks in agony and falls to the ground, trying to remove the arrow from the mortal wound.

Arctaris |

Dohlrok's monk training and strong Dwarven constitution easily resist the spell cast by to kobold.
I'm going to reassign Corvin an initiative of 5 so that he might have a chance to post this action, since tomarrow is Saturday. I'll give Gawlak until tonight to post.
Here is initiative:
Scrumble 23
Anarath 19
Gawlak 10
Kobolds 9
Greis 5
Corvin 5
Dohlrok 3

Hi. I got off of work early. Whose turn is it?

Corvin Killgannon |

Feeling the bolt clank off of his armor, Corvin whirls around. With a feral snarl, he rushes in the direction from which the bolt came.
Spot check: 19 - 1 Wis = 18
Seeing the kobold crossbowman ducking for cover, the fighter charges the smaller creature, launching himself like a springing wildcat, and crushing the little beastie beneath his bulk.
Attack roll: 19 + 1 atk + 3 Str = 23; Grapple check: 12 + 4 = 16
Damage: 1d6+4 = 4 + 4 = 8. I assume the critter's dead.

Arctaris |

Apologies for my abscence and my mistake with the initiative.
The kobold archer begins to sprint away from his crushed companion towards te door through which the weakend fighter retreated. The yellow-robed kobold who Anarath wounded follows. The black-robed kobold begins to speak in a sonorous and hypnotizing voice and you feel like just standing there and watching the kobold speak forever. As so as the spell is cast the kobold begins to run after his companions.
Will Saves Anarath (who gets a +2), Corvin and Greis. Greis shrugs of the affect and jumps down from atop the wall. Corvin is taken in by the voice and simply stands over the wounded kobold which starts to escape.
