Maybe I'm showing my age here, but with this being the 20th anniversary of U2 releasing The Joshua Tree, I was remembering back to their first video on MTV (New Years Day). That was back in the day that MTV actually played music video pratically all the time.
Anyway, we just picked up the bands new release, which is basically a greatest hits type CD (along with 2 new recordings). It's really a great one - every single song (with the exception of one of the new ones) is fantastic. They are definitely one of the all time great bands.
Wow. 20 years. That's the first album I bought on CD that I already owned the tape for, and one of my first CDs, period.
