Kerfane's chamber (Room 17 in The Great Hall) contains a hidden, secret note that says "313 Bard Street, Greyhawk. Send artifacts in plain wooden crates." Has anyone else made use of this crypic note?
Or does anyone with some ideas to share before my adventurers get there in a couple of weeks time..? What sort of items could Kerfane have purloined? Who lived/lives at this mysterious address?

I haven't checked Maldin's LGJ#2 city map for GH yet, but there is a Bard Street, and at least two entries that mention it, per Jason Zavoda's index:
Bard Street (City of Greyhawk)[STR]
PGTG - 32
WGA1 - IC
Perhaps this is related to the curio shop in which Tomorast first discovered the Tome of the Black Heart?

Interesting idea on the Curio Shop. My suspicion is that it's a Seeker location (perhaps hidden, but not necessarily) that serves as a clearinghouse for "found" items.
Considering that Kerfane shipped the last of his goods there a quarter-century ago, it's likely that none of the Maure items are still around. There would be lots of other weird goods, of course, the stranger the better.
Security and denizens would depend on whether the location is overtly a Seeker office or not. If it is, then the usual assortment of guards and other heavies (seeker luminaries and bigwigs) would be expected. If it's more of the abandoned-warehouse location, then probably a guard or two backed by some nasty (but very quiet) monsters who won't wander around or scare the neighbors.

You're right it is/was probably a Seeker clearing house but I like the curio shop idea too. My initial thoughts are that it would be abandoned but there may be one or two more dangerous items left - those that the last occupants were too scared to move or didn't quite know what they did...
I also like the idea of some nasty (but quiet) monsters still creeping around guarding the items left (or waiting for someone to trigger, release, find etc).

Great ideas folks! I'm going to start to lay some groundwork for the curio shop, I think---likely something akin to the evil/cursed magic items shops from Fritz Leiber's "Bazaar of the Bizarre" Fafhrd & the Grey Mouser tale, and/or Janet Morris' "Vashanka’s Minion" from the Thieves World classic Tales from the Vulgar Unicorn.

Here are the relevant details about Bard Street from the sources I listed above awhile ago:
Players Guide to Greyhawk, page 32: shows a map of the city with Bard Street listed, in the northern corner of Clerkberg, near the Duke's Citadel, and north of both the Free City Arena and the University. Nothing more specific, alas.
WGA1 Falcon's Revenge, mentions Bard Street on the inside cover map entry, so no true content here, either.
Maldin's City of GH map (from Living Greyhawk Journal #2, and reprinted on his site @ http://melkot.com/locations/cogh/cogh.html) also displays Bard Street, though it isn't named (as far as I can tell from the online version). He does, however, place a curious location on Bard Street: key # C26 Residence - sage, which seems suspiciously close to someone who might have a curio shop, in my mind at least....
I'll go through the LGJ articles on Clerkberg (IIRC there were at least two?) to see if any further mention is made of this location.

Ya, I always meant to do up a street-name map, but never get the time to do it. One of these days!

Sorry, no curio shop at that location. ;-) However, if you wanted to work up an all new CoG location for a curio shop run by a suitable NPC for the situation, grodog, I'd be willing to post it (with a locator map like my other CoG location pages) to the CoG section of my website.

OK, here's what I came up with: 313 Bard Street . Not perhaps what I first envisaged but... Any comments, suggestions, corrections? Labelled CoG map included.
The PCs have staked the place out using some followers but have learned nothing yet.
