Just wondering who/what that guy in my avatar actually is. I picked him because he kind of looks like me (except for the blank eyes...) but I've just noticed he may have some sort of doggie nose. It's been slightly bugging me since the day I picked him, and now it's time for the mystery to be solved. Who IS he?
If anyone else wants to know who their avatars are they can post here too. You never know, could be handy...

Who IS he?
She is Anishuma from area 6 in the Oriental Adventures-style "Palace of Plenty" (Dungeon 130). She is the ghostly daughter of Mekarumu the Lord of the Palace. She became a ghost after being attacked by the unstable lake spirit known as the Tourquoise Giant. In her spectral state she sees crude intruders as unclean. In the encounter she appears in, she is assisted by demon possessed soap. Yes, evil soap. Still it was written by Tito Leati and is constantly put in various poster's Top 10 of 2006 Lists - including my own.
Hope that helps,
GGG

Yeah, I have no idea what mine is either. Any insight is appreciated.
I picked it because it looks like he's wearing little reading glasses and the idea of a powerful demonic entity with tiny reading spectacles amuses me greatly. It also gives the impression of a physically powerful figure with a keen intellect as well... the avatar of a true DM, imo.

I think yours is a bauriaur(sp?) I thought I saw it in a Dragon mag a few years ago.

Yeah, it's a Bauriar (?sp too). It was in the Dragon issue that had some Planescape stuff in it. The detailed a few of the factions and what had happened after they were dismantled. That fellow is of the Free League. Mine is from that same Oriental Adventures Dungeon adventure that Kahoon's in from I think, and I like hi picked it because it looked kinda like me a few years ago when I had my dreads.

I dont think that guy is Free League, he's the leader of an older, long disbanded faction called ... the Brutes? or the Bashers? I dont know, something like that.... sorry, I dont have my magazines with me

I am guessing all of us Efreeti Overlords of Diabolical Threads look the same to all you mortals :) meaning; mine is probably straight out of the monster manual, but i think he looks better than the guy on the cover of the old dmg.
I think your particular Efreeti Overlord may be a D&D minature ... looks kinda 3d to me anyway

Now that I think about it, I'm not sure where mine is from. I think it was an issue of polyhedron...
Thanks Mothman!
Heathanson, there's no way this avatar could be of defense counsel. No horns.

Well, that's the problem with avatars provided by board itself. But I don't complain since I usually don't bother to get an avatar...
BTW, I can't remember if I have seen my avatar anywhere either...looks some kind of mermaid? Anyone can help?
She's some type of water fey (a Rusalka i think?) from that Blackmoor adventure in Dungeon where the PCs track a group of Frost Folk onto a glacier. The Land of Black Ice I think.

"Raiders of Black Ice" by Wolfgang Baur (Dungeon 115).

He was the leader of one of the Planescape factions, but now he's dead.

Actually he is Molric the dwarf (monk 2/warrior 2/expert 2) from "Steel Shadows" (Dungeon 115).

Sebastian, my apologies. However, you should have taken my thoughts with a grain of salt, for it is a widely accepted fact that I am a moron.

There should be a comma after it and before please.
"Mezzoloths are th most common foot soldiers in the yugoloth armies. They understand little beyond combat, and their skill in battle is formidable. When they aren't fighting, they're imagining new ways to hurt their enemies and practicing their martial skills.
A mezzoloth looks like a human-sized insect with heavy chittin and four limbs tipped with sharp claws. Its wideset eyes glow red when it's angry (which is almost always). When arrayed for battle, mezzoloths weild tridents and carry shields. A mezzoloth stands 7 feet tall and weighs 250 pounds." MM III
