It begins on All Clans Isle, in one of several Council Hatcheries, wherein something sinister occurs. A gang of ogre raiders led by the powerful chieftain; Krug Bonebreaker, has tunneled into the Council Hatchery and has begun stealing the unhatched dragon eggs. These raiders have had minor successes along some of the temperate isles that are home to green dragon and topaz dragon clans, and when they came to the attention of a frost giant Jarl, far to the north, named Odifal they were contacted about a much bigger and potentially perilous job, but the rewards would be grand indeed. Krug accepted the commission from Jarl Odifal, and his raiders took to the idea (afterall they'd been successful so far) and the only thing that can stand in their way, the dragons, have left the Council chambers for the day. (Now, the only thing that could go wrong Krug thinks, is if some of the dragon eggs began hatching... and that's exactly what happens!)

Blight of Clan Blackmoon, Blister of Clan Evilwood, Scorch of Clan Bloodtide, and Shock of Clan Lightningwing. (These four chromatic wyrmlings are all that stands in the way of a gang of ogre raiders and their chieftain from stealing dozens of unhatched dragon eggs.)
***Normally I'd say no to "evil" PCs, but their excitement about this campaign idea led me to allow for the chromatic foursome.***

The four newly-hatched dragons fought three ogres and won, although Blister and Shock were badly beaten with greatclubs, and Shock was nearly beaten to death. Their attention was drawn to the moans and rasps of pain coming from a small humanoid that introduced itself as "Sviliffa" she apologized for how they'd come into the world and tells them that their foes are called ogres and that they are trying to steal dragon eggs, an outrage that mustn't be allowed. After a fit of pain-wracked coughs she tells them that two secret passages exist one along the west wall, and one along the south. She urges the wyrmlings to stop the ogres and work together as Great Io the Ninefold Dragon once commanded before she succumbs to her wounds. Before they search out the secret passages, they begin pawing at the hide pouches that lie near the ogre bodies, and as they scratch them open, several glittering coins spill out and roll along the hatchery floor, and two stoppered vial with a swirling blue liquid inside. Shcok gulps one down, vial and all and immediately feels his wounds and bruises mending. He lunges for the second, but the bigger red dragon stomps his foot, stands in the way and bellows, "There are others in need!" The smaller blue defers to the red, and Scorch slides the vial over to Blister the green. Blister looks at the vial, takes stock of his wounds, glances over at the blue who looks like he could collaspe at any moment, and slides the vial his way telling him, "Take it. You need it more than I do." The red dragon, Scorch snorts with disgust, and begins looking for the secret passage ways. Shock the blue doesn't need any more encouragement to gulp down this vial, and his wounds begin to look better.

They find the passages, and after intently listening, decide to go down the west passage, even though more sounds issue from there, they think surprise will be with them and they can defeat the ogres.
The wyrmling foursome find themselves facing seven ogres in all, including the chieftain. A fierce battle is joined, the dragons clawing, biting, or breathing fiery, acidic, or shocking death upon the ogres. The chieftain is not as easily defeated as his thugs, he beats Scorch into submission, and then turns to the blue wyrmling and beats him unconscious as well. After this however (and the fact that each wyrmling had been able to use its breath weapon against him once) the chief seemed fatigued. Sensing the weakness the tiny black dragon, Blight, spit her acid at him and as his eyes burned from the corrosive liquid, he swung blindly with his club, this seemed to be more than he could take and he collasped to the hatchery floor. The tiny black dragon began tearing at the ogre's throat to ensure he did not rise again. Shortly after their victory, several Council vassals came and helped the wyrmlings. They soothed their wounds, and restored Scorch and Shock to consciousness. And led them from the hatchery to the chambers beyond, where they were welcomed by the vassals and custodians of All Clans Isle. An enormous amethyst dragon smiled down at them, and while she offered no apology for what they endured she did say to them in a firm but friendly voice. "Consider this your first lesson hatchlings, it won't be your last."
*And that ends the first adventure. Not sure when the group will get together again, hoping in a couple weeks. Got lots of ground to cover to get these wyrmlings to "very young" and the next 'published' adventure.*
