It is on the Wizards´ Website:
Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk
I would think that it is in line with the other "Expedition to..." products, and does not herald a change of policies regarding Greyhawk.
I will probably have to wait until Spielemesse Essen in Oct ´07...

WOTC listed on its project page that Erik, Jason and James are indeed the authors of Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk. Release date Aug 2007.
Ohhhhh finally.. phew.. thank god that is finally up. The wait was nearly unbearable. It can finally be revealed, that Erik's secret project was also James's and my own secret project. Keeping my mouth shut was killing me slowly.
Finally..
I guess I can sleep now. :)

FINALLY!
The terror of accidentally letting slip the nature of ye Secret Project is over.
The terror of worrying that everyone will hate it can officially begin!
Well, I think that even if no one will hate it, there will be much scrutiny taking place regarding canon, and if there is even the slightest slip in that regard, someone will notice and make a fuss of it...

Boy, I'm gonna get that book, and that'll be my little campaign book. All around the city of Greyhawk, and the Castle, and then I'll slap Castle Maure over on a hill somewhere, and that'll be my little game world.
I'm like...giddy. 37 y.o.'s shouldn't be giddy. It's goofy.
Well, I'm 40 -- and I feel EXACTLY the same way.
(Although I'll keep the little mining town of Diamond Lake in the Cairn Hills in my little game world. This part of the Age of Worms has been fantastic.)

You aren't the only 37 y.o. that is giddy about this.

I dug it up right away at Amazon...was it just released to them, too? Though they've got it listed as "Expedition to Castle Greyhawk: A D&D Adventure Supplement (Hardcover)" due out August 14th, 2007.

Our Age of Worms campaign set in Greyhawk has really invigorated my roleplaying. At one point I really considered core D&D a side interest to my other d20 campaigns (Wheel of Time, Oriental Adventures and Swashbuckling Adventures had been front and center) until we got hip deep into the adventure path.
All the charm -- and danger -- of Greyhawk, especially the environs of the Cairn Hills, came rushing back. I've been cracking open my old Greyhawk-centric materials, digging into the history of the setting again, and enjoying it immensely.
The setting has legs. I don't know why or when I ever left it, but I'm eternally grateful for Dungeon for reviving my interest in it. Now, I can't imagine adventuring anywhere else ... at least for a while. ;)
I think it's great that Wizards is releasing Expedition in August, meaning it will be front-and-center at GenCon. I think that says alot.

My next project is not a secret at all, nor is it an emergency. At MACE a couple of weeks ago I playtested the first half of a new adventure entitled "The Refuge of Nex". I describe the module as Castle Greyhawk meets Lost, in that the opening scene sees the PCs and a dozen NPCs trapped within an ancient multi-dimensional dungeon. The infinitely expandable dungeon and the trapped characters become the setting and cast for an ongoing campaign in which the PCs attempt to escape the dungeon (or perhaps settle it). The place is far more than a collection of rooms and corridors, however, and several attached pocket planes add a good deal of variety to the effort.
Basically, I'm just doing this for fun. It's too long for a Dungeon adventure and it is not tied to a specific campaign setting (rather, it is tied to a campaign setting I've been slowly developing myself). I'm still not 100% sure what will happen to it in the long run, but I am putting it together with the assumption that it will see publication some day, probably in a series of 32-page stand-alone installments. For the time being, I plan to run a playtest and potentially launch a new campaign here in the office, but there are still plenty of adventures left in our Age of Worms game and I am in no hurry to get this thing finished.

Sorry about that Vic. Sebastion was really curious about what's happening at Paizo, and, well, Heathansson had his whole staff mostly just hanging around doing nothing, so I made a suggestion and...
Just let Heathansson know if they've been getting in the way. We've already collected most of the info we need (next secret project, social security numbers, diet preferences, favorite prestige classes, etc., you know - standard stuff), so we can get them out of your hair for now if you'd like.

Interesting - I had intended to run The World's Largest Dungeon in that Lost style, with NPCs to look after and the mechanics of feeding and housing them within the vast inescapable dungeon as stuff for the players to worry about. I'll look out for this, however it surfaces.

A likely cover story. It does nothing to explain all those men in the black suits hanging about the office with their fancy black helicopters and their fancy black limousines.
What about those, Mr. Mona? What about those?
Oh. It turns out that there were no men in black hanging around the office at all. They certainly haven't been standing around Erik Mona's door keeping everyone out of his office. Nope, nosiree. I don't know what I might have been talking about the other day. Must have been feverish. Please, pay it no mind. It's totally safe, if not to some degree imperative, that you all forget about the notion. Thank you for your consideration.

I'm definitely pleased that Castle Greyhawk will finally be done properly; even more so because they've got several die-hard Greyhawkers with first rate credentials designing it. Gives us middle aged, 1st edition hack & slashers something to drool over. Castle Greyhawk is decades overdue, but I don't regret the 'lateness' of this arrival. Had this been attempted in years past, it may have but yeilded another version of WG7 and WGR1. Like fine wine, let us all trust that this one will be worth the wait. I believe it will be.

Maure Castle is just over a hill (well, a few hills) from Greyhawk City. Its location is noted on the map from the 1983 World of Greyhawk boxed set, at the northeastern end of the Abbor Alz just at the border to Urnst. So, yes, the area around the Gem of the Flanaess gets a lot of attention recently.
