Overkill - Coverkill. Fun stuff, though I'm a little uncertain about the vocal arrangements on their version of the Judas Priest mega-classic "Tyrant". Bobby Blitz does a mean Johnny Rotten impersonation, though.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre. I can't stop listening to them.

Liberty's Edge

Mr. Shiny's Heavy Rotation List:

Mastodon - Blood Mountain
Dave Matthews - Some Devil
Brand New - The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me
Smashing Pumpkins - Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
Marilyn Manson - Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death)

Peter Mulvey - Live at Ticonderoga

I don't even like folk music, but I went to see him when he came to town. I'm glad I did. He even gave out orders for a CD version of the concert--which was recorded by the TV station I work at. Ergo, I got a free copy. The CD also includes the FIRST EVER performance of the song 'Dynamite Bill (Makin' Things Go Boom).' Mr. Mulvey had written the song in his hotel room the night before. Awesome.

I have a couple of mixed tapes *ahem* cd's I listen to all the time. One is all my classical favorites, and one is all my rock favorites. Oh and a little country
Classical= Vivaldi, Strauss etc...
Rock= AC/DC, Led Zepplin, Rush and Evanesence (sp?)
Country= some new but I love (parden me for this) C.W. McCall

Liberty's Edge

A huge MP3 CD of the iDragon mixes.

Liberty's Edge

Seether's 'Disclaimer II' album. I've tried to get a hold of 'Disclaimer', but so far my efforts have been in vain.

Depeche Mode, and Erasure. Long Live the 80's. Sammich!!!

Liberty's Edge

Liberty's Edge

Liberty's Edge

Alternating between the Swing Kids soundtrack, Rammstein's 'Sehnsucht', and Mastodon's 'Leviathan'.

How does one order a CD version? Would you sell your soul and rip the Dynamite Bill track to an MP3 and email it to me?

Scarab Sages

My Trail Blazer holds 6 CDs - something that took me 2 days to realize after I bought it. I like to change it out every so often, but right now I've got U2, 3 Jimmy Buffet CDs, Evanescence, and Depeche Mode. I also like to throw in Linkin Park, Distrubed, Metallica, Black Sabbath, and the Highwaymen. Oh yeah, and occasionally Gregorian Chant.

I was part of the group that recorded the live version, so I got a free copy. It was a VERY limited release-- I think they only made enough for the people who were at the concert, but the tracks are all available on Lime Wire. What's your e-mail address?

Right now:

The Word To The Whys EP by Word to the Whys (my friend Mike's band).

The flavour of the day appears to be Gowan "Strange Animal" and U2 "Rattle and Hum"

Hmm...I never had a portable CD player. I made the jump from boombox to iPod with a long period in between where I just wasn't interested in music.

Ironically, as soon as I got the iPod, my voracious appetite for music could not (and still cannot) be satiated. After burning many a CD onto my iTunes from my father's library of classic rock CDs, I went through nearly $100 of iTunes gift cards that I received for Christmas. I then went on to burn anything of value from my CD library and then anything of value from my brother's. I soon discovered that my mom had a few good CDs mixed in with the stuff she likes that I don't. Then I turned to friends to recommend (and lend) me good music. When I had run out of that, I began to scour the internet looking at Wikipedia entries for bands I liked to see if there was even mention of another band of similar quality. Then when my friend got Guitar Hero II, I was introduced to many new bands and songs (and to a fun game). And it still goes on...I hunger for music!

Ahem. So yeah...but to answer the original question (sorta), my iPod contains mostly classic rock, heavy metal, alternative rock, and other assorted types of metal.

Are you Canadian... or is Gowan actually known outside Canada???

Silver Crusade

Portishead and Jeff Buckley

I'm classic rock animal and a bit stuck with it.

Now I'm hearing mostly Deep Purple, Rainbow, Zeppelin trying to find forgotten songs, but because I have a knack for progressive, I love Pink Floyd and Eloy. My favourite quitarist is Ritchie Blackmore.

I kill CD players. But on my computer are AFI, Coheed and Cambria, Lamb of God, and Benny Goodman. Just what I've copied over.

I'm certain Gowan received notoriety on an international scale, as it was visiting relatives in Newcastle, mid eighties, when I was initially exposed to the sounds of Lawrence Gowan. As a young impressionable lass, I'm not quite sure what won me over at the time, the music or Gowan's hair...

Your suspicion rings true Twiceborn, I'm a very proud Canadian!
