Well, I thought I would share my Age of Worms experience with everyone. This will not be a detailed write-up, just a short rebound of what transpired each session..
DAGGERFORD DEFENDERS consists of Sir Alexander (LG Aasimar Paladin of Tyr), his twin brother Ferro (LG aasimar Cleric of Tyr), their childhood friend Farrero (CG Air genasi Rogue), the bard Maurice (N Star Elf Bard plays bagpipes) and two NPCs - Melindé (LG Human Paladin of Tyr) and Garth (NG Human Wizard).
As you can see, the group is very Tyr-centered, and is sort of the focus of the campaign. The aasimar twins have only one distinguishing mark, that being Tyr's symbol somehow imprinted on the back of their neck from birth of. The Air genasi has blue hair and when he moves, it sounds as if wind whistles. Anyway, they have set it upon themselves to clean up Daggerford and to make it less evil.. their superior Valkus Duun encourages them, and aids them whenever he can, mostly on the political arena.
SESSION 1
After some roleplaying in Daggerford, the characters met the trio from Waterdeep. Tirra challenged one of the PCs to a dagger throwing contest, money vs. map of the Whispering Cairn. She challenged the rogue, and he lost 3 times in a row, almost depleting the group's resources. Tirra planted the map on him anyway with a Sleight of Hand. This made the players extremely suspicious, as they expected them to lie in wait after they had cleared the Cairn. The PCs don't know it yet, but the reason Tirra did what she did was because of a visit to Jezabet at the Emporium. The seer told Tirra that she needed to make sure that the planetouched twins and their friends survived and prospered, for only they could prevent the Age of Worms.. Khellek and Auric thinks she's crazy, but Tirra usually gets her way..
So then it was off to the Whispering Cairn. The wolves pretty much mauled both twins ( I had to fudge the dice so as not to kill the cleric).. I then had Melindé run in for the timely save.. having a 3rd lvl paladin in a 1st level group is priceless..
They didn't go very far the first session, but found the indigo lantern and sort of figured out the system with the elevators and the sarcophagus. They fought the slasher and the swarm, and I am afraid I didn't play the swarm properly, as they had small problems defeating it compared to stories I've heard here on these boards.
I'll post some notes regarding session 2 later on.
