Signal of Screams Adventure Path

While relaxing on a posh asteroid resort, the heroes are beset by a plague of madness and horrible transformations and, after dealing with its unfortunate victims, learn these tragedies are part of plot engineered by an insane scientist trapped on the Shadow Plane. Using the funding of an amoral corporation, the scientist has crafted a mysterious signal that will spread pain from world to world. As this corruption begins to infect the heroes, they must stop the transmission at its source to save themselves—and the rest of the galaxy!

The Diaspora Strain (1 of 3): A vacation on New Elysium, a luxury resort located on an asteroid in the Diaspora, goes horribly wrong as the facilities malfunction and the guests and staff turn violent. The heroes must protect themselves and aid those who have remained sane, including a wealthy android tech entrepreneur who might have some information about the cause of this madness—if he can be rescured from the old mining tunnels below the resort. The heroes must find a way to stop the growing delirium, even if it means going through the guests—including a celebrated champion of the vicious sport of brutaris—who have been transformed into hideous abominations!

The Penumbra Protocol (2 of 3): Infected with a sickness that threatens to turn them into twisted murderers, the heroes travel to the city of Cuvacara on the planet Verces to find the possible origin of the madness! They soon discover that a sinister company plans to release a new social media app that will corrupt the entire city. Surviving attacks from corporate assassins, the heroes can shut down the app's servers and discover the location of the company's hidden underground base on the planet's Darkside.

Heart of Night (3 of 3): Trapped on the Shadow Plane, the heroes' only hope of returning to the Material Plane is to find and destroy the mad scientist whose machinations put them in this predicament. At a creepy spacedock controlled by worshipers of a god of darkness and pain, the PCs are able to retrieve a shadow version of their starship to fly back to the asteroid where the campaign began. Fighting past disturbing vessels piloted by shadowy fiends who want to flay them alive, the heroes arrive at a twisted place where the moans and screams of unseen beings echo through unfamiliar halls. At the center of this web, the heroes confront the evil scientist, who has been transformed through her experimentation with pleasure and pain. With her notes and the use of partially living machinery, the PCs can cure themselves of their corruption and find a way home!
