    Fun low level game

    5/5

This one was a well written mystery and chase that definitely rewards players that want to get a little creative with role-playing things out. My favorite was the part where players can design their own performance to impress a faction leader in the society. Imo it's very nice to have lighthearted adventures among the more heavy material to show off the variety Starfinder is capable of doing well in its setting. Plus, we loved the critters you meet at the adventure's end.

    Holiday Surprise

    5/5

One of the most eagerly anticipated modules of the new year. I was fortunate enough to play this close to the release date and on low tier. I have a hard time with the Macros to hide spoilers so I will keep this spoiler free. It has a very interesting and unusual start to the module to say the least. With a good mix of memorable combats on a variety of different types of enemies to combat. The good parts is that it does a good job of world building on Absalom station and you have a variety of skill checks that allow all classes to have a little fun. Several pop culture references are hidden like Gems in this modules. But unfolding the mystery is a little ham fisted. Their are a lot of different options you can pursue to try and solve the mystery but you really need a good GM to bring this to life.

Note: I really love chase scenes in Starfinder and this is a really good chase. Sadly even with extensive role play this mod is quick and lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes. The tone is also off, compared to how grim season 6 is having a holiday comedy special like this feels very out of place. Going in I thought it would be much more sinister due to the framing of season 6. Would have been better as a level 4 bounty because it is so short.

Circling back; I really liked this adventure. ITs charming and fun. Just too short.

Seeing the author name made me smile

This looks super cute. Maybe a typo: the cover says levels 3-6, but the text says levels 1-4. Which is correct?

    1-4 is the right range.

I'm a little behind reading up on this season (partly due to the subscription woes), but having read this, I want to chime in on how a big part of the appeal of SFS for me is the "living campaign" aspect, seeing NPCs return and evolve over an growing period of time. So, that said, I really enjoyed seeing NPC A (see below) pop up! Coincidentally as I read this I'm in the middle of doing something similar with a different "rescue," NPC B, in my home game.

    A and B:
NPC A: Senndi (from #1-10: The Half-Alive Streets)
NPC B: Jubair (from #1-01: The Commencement)
