This is a new option, not a replacement. The Pathfinder Core Rulebook is now available in hardcover, softcover pocket edition, and pdf, giving you options.

Size: Pocket Editions are 8.4" x 6.5" softcovers.

And yes, the Pathfinder Core Rulebook Pocket Edition includes the latest errata, matching the second printing of the hardcover.

The Pathfinder Core Rulebook hardcover, softcover Pocket Edition coming in December, and the PDF will all include the 2nd printing errata.

The Special Editions are first printing, have only non-mint condition copies left in our warehouse at this time, and will not be reprinted.

The first printings copies were essentially gone a year after the launch.

I love these pocket editions. They didn't start doing this until pretty late into PF1. So it's cool they're starting it up already for PF2. There's even a pre-order option for Bestiary 3!

I have bought this pocket edition, even though i don't like 2e better than 1e.

Honestly, I love my current pocket editions for the other games. The form factor is just more convenient at a desk when a PDF is not immediately available. That and I love the softcover.

Yes.

New to Pathfinder - if I purchase the pocket edition does that come with the PDF version or do I need to purchase that separately?

They are two separate products.

If you subscribe to a Paizo product line, then you get a free PDF when the item is released. Otherwise, the print edition and the PDF are two separate products.

Can we get PDF versions of the pocket editions? The form factor of the pocket edition would fit on my tablet easier without having to zoom around.

Pocket editions are simply scaled down versions of the full size book, without any layout change. So a "PDF" of it would be... the same PDF zoomed out. :X

Thanks, I was hoping they were laid out differently not just smaller. Makes total sense there wouldn't be a different pdf then. I shall grumble about my bad eyes now :)

Nope, just got mine and it's the 3rd printing.

I've been unable to find out when we can expect new printings. I placed an order exactly a month ago for the softcover when it was still listed as in stock, but that order has been in pending status with no updates, any idea when new copies are coming?

If you placed an order while the product was in stock the delay is likely because the warehouse is working through orders.

As for a new 4th printing, we don't know yet. Will reply when we do.

Do we know that the new stock expected for next month will include pocket editions or only hard back?
