Exactly what I needed!

5/5

As someone that has struggled making characters without a character sheet these are a god send! Yes, the fighter sheet is a bit wonky and I have to make photocopies but the amount of time saved make this more than worth the money for me.

Not enough of the other sheets

2/5

For the physical product, this is largely a waste of money. You get the class specific sheets, which is cool, but the other three sheets - the item/character details sheet, the spell sheet, and the companion sheet - only have one copy each in this pack. The entire pack is only good for one character. And since they changed the layout for the item/character details sheet, you either have to print the pages from the free downloadable sheets (which don't give you much room for items, or character details, and double up on things from the class sheet), photocopy extra copies of the ones provided, or buy the pdf to print out copies. For $15, I feel a bit ripped off.

Give me a first edition/Starfinder style character folio any day over this. At least I'll have room for everything.

Edit 2020/08/28 - Additionally, the folder is pretty much exactly 8 1/2" x 11", so it doesn't fit normal papers (like chronicle sheets) that well. A single sheet of paper can be put in mostly okay, but once your printed sheets start stacking up, it gets really hard to put them in without stressing the "spine" of the folder.

Getting There

2/5

I was really excited for this product and the variations compared to the basic character sheet in the Core Rulebook are interesting. Its too bad there are so many errors in the pre-filled blocks. Until that is fixed and an updated PDF provided, I cannot give this product more than a middle rating and cannot recommend it to anyone, especially not the print version. Creatively this is an excellent product, however the execution is lacking. Paizo, you can do better

Disappointment in this

1/5

I feel that I have wasted my money. Errors are in the document. It is a shame that this is the case. These have the potential to be a great tool.

Who ever thought putting all the red in the character sheet shouldn't be allowed to design a character sheet. Just a complete and utter eye sore. They are hideous and not at all printer friendly.

I hope they fix the errors in these sheets ASAP and get some more printer friendly sheets included. I hope they don't wait forever then update these.

I do not recommend these sheets at all.

wish it had "printer friendly" versions, at least in the PDF

3/5

the fighter sheet is messed up as the first poster pointed out, and there's less space for actions than the normal sheet (personally I think both versions don't have enough action, reaction, or free action space but I lack the experience to say for sure). other than that they're good sheets

Class-specific character sheets! I hope that's as good as it sounds, because that sounds pretty great to me.

Well this looks pretty dang cool, though I question the need to sell a printed version, especially if they are black and white. Feels like something that could be just given out as a PDF. Lord knows the community will have their own versions going pretty quick.

Wow! I hope this to be as good as we wish! Specific sheets are amazing things!

We will definitely have a PDF version of this product, and I expect it to be popular.

We're probably in the final decade in which printing a product like this makes sense, but we're going to give it a shot and see what happens.

If the PDFs are form-fillable, I think you will have something that nearly every player of PF2 will want to buy. They would easily outsell the printed version.

Are the characters sheets still vertical?

Yes please. Bonus points if it auto-calculates numbers.

Love the idea of sheets for each of the classes!!

I hope that they are fillable, Otherwise, I might not have much use for them.

Fillable would be absolutely fantastic. This would mean I could work on characters in my downtime at work lol.

Will there still be an option to download character sheets for free and without a watermark for second edition?

Grand Lodge

Are the 2E character sheets still going to be Landscape like they were in the play test?

I hope so as I much prefer a landscape sheet to preserve room on the tabletop. If not I hope the come out with a landscape option like they have finally done for the GM Screen. (And thank you so much for that Paizo, I love it! I'm surprised you didn't make that an exclusive, although actually I think i prefer the art on that to the character portraits from all the letter GM Screens so I'm not complaining at all!)

In the Oblivion Oath stream the players are using portrait character sheets.

I second, third, fourth the idea of an official Paizo form fillable character sheet. That does all the adding for you.

The GM screen has both portfolio and landscape versions, why not the same for these character sheets and make everyone happy

My favorite part of the old character folio was its expansive pages and its beautiful colors. Will there be a version of this in full color?

I'm here just to say that I love the new Seoni, and mainly her new staff. The way she holds it is so unique that, indeed Mr. Wayne, it made her all more special.

As far as I know form-fillable PDFs are not compatible with Paizo's watermarking process, so I wouldn't get my hopes up for that.

All the more reason to make the pdf for character sheets freely accessible imo.

Sure there will be lost sales, but I cannot help but think better more organised character sheets help the community more in general.

Those will be.

Now that I have the book in hand, seriously want a copy of official character sheets..... These or the ones from the book, but mostly these. August 1st can't come soon enough, need these on PDF

Hmm, just bought the PDF. It seems they decided to switch to a full color version somewhere along the line. That means the ink usage is going to make this less desirable to print out and use often.

Are there plans to do a black and white printer friendly version, and if so can I obtain that without paying again?

I am very disappointed in this. There is no printer friendly sheets. I don't know who in their right mind though all this red was a good ideal, but it is completely and utterly crap and poor design.

I regret buying these sheets. I paid $10 for something I effectively can't use. This will eat through my ink in no time. Very disappointed.

The Pathfinder 1e and Starfinder Folios were in color, was the Playtest Folio not?

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Your PDF application should allow you to print in black & white only. It will still use more ink/toner than a cleaner sheet, but at least it will be black only.

I wouldn't be surprised if the download is updated with black & white versions later.

I'm pretty sure the product description initially said it would be black and white. See my earliest post in the thread. Either I misunderstood something or they decided to change it somewhere along the line.

I think it is probably the latter, because Erik Mona's response to my own makes less sense if it was always going to be full color. In which case it is a tad frustrating that they didn't highlight that change a little better.

Don't get me wrong, I don't regret buying it per se, but this means I'm making my players print their own rather than just handing everyone a sheet, because that's a lot of toner.

Has anyone taken a look at all the class specific sheets? I've noticed at least one misprint and at least one other spot that was weird formatting compared to other classes with the same abilities

I can confirm the problem on the fighter sheet that somebody mentioned. In several cases, two features were granted at the same level, but the first was listed at the correct level and the second was listed one level later, leaving no room for the feat actually granted at that higher level.

The Alchemist light armor master is moved down to the level 20 spot, Champion's shield block reaction box is formatted different than that of the cleric and fighters

Just two that I've notice

Ah gotcha.

And there was this but reading the description it was more folder than folio.

Please update these with printer-friendly versions! Thank you!

I was thinking of getting this but if there's typos I'm not interested, it would be a lot different if I could fill things out myself, but if it's both wrong and I can't fill it out it's pretty useless to me.

Pretty disappointed that there isn't a printer friendly version included here.

aslikeanarnian wrote:

Seconding that. Since you don't want to destroy the product to use it, your only real options are to make copies of the physical product or print pages from the PDF. Either way, you want to be able to print it easily -- but repeatedly printing from a corrected PDF seems like the most reasonable option.

After reading about the mistakes and unnecessarily-colored areas, I'm not going to buy this.

No.

The PDF is just a digital reflection of the physical product

This is really the most useless product Paizo has published in a long time. Not only are the colors a sore for the eyes (Black & white would be fine), the specialized ones are also full of errors and inferior to the Standard sheet.
The three additional sheets are okay, though.

Luckily this is the only useless 2E product.

Super disappointed to hear there's no printer friendly version and it apparently has errors in it. Made me glad I checked before I bought them as $10 is way too much for anything less than perfect pdfs. Guess I'll just wait for the fan community to get on it.

The Fighter sheet looks wrong...It is missing open feat slots at 8, 10, 12 and 14? It looks like then fighter does not get any class feats in those slots

Please fix it!!! :) form fillable and printer friendly would be great also :)

Grand Lodge

Just my opinion, but Paizo, don't waste your time with a form-fillable version or affect sales by providing a version of these for free. I recall a printer-friendly version of the character sheet included in the CRB was made available so that already fills the role. Please focus your time and efforts on new content and watch sales of this product to indicate whether or not it is acceptable to the masses as is, or requires a rework to improve sales. However, by all means fix any errors that exist and let us know when the download file is ready with the changes. Thx

It's not class specific, but feel free to use my character sheet instead of these. Link with explanation. And feel free to let me know what would make it more friendly to your favorite class.

There are other cool sheets around the community as well.

That is a very nice sheet.

If I buy the PDF version to print, is it formatted for US Letter or A4 pages (being European there's always problems with US sized prints).

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Is there any chance we can get a printer friendly version of the pdf. I bought the pdf and love it but like the official sheet it desperately needs a home printer friendly version that doesn't waste ink filling in solid blocks for no reason.

I hope this doesn't take more than a month to get printer friendly version. Also to get the mistakes fixed. If I am going to pay for something I expect it to be usable. Or I would like a refund.

Mmm...I was kinda nervous about class specific character sheets (*looking at stacks of unused 3.5 Paladin, Monk, and Bard sheets*)... but if the other character sheets are worth it i can be okay with it...

But there are also mistakes on the sheets?

Yeah I am going to wait.
