Inked Adventures Blocks Rustic Timber Interior is intended for improvising referees who need to create a building interior quickly. They can be used in a free form way or glued to a grid as a permanent structure. The blocks are designed to be just slightly higher than 25-28mm minis, but these heights are purely representational. This pack caters for the insides of rustic medieval buildings, wattle and daub, timber framed structures. This can be a hovel, a dwelling, tavern or inn, or a wing in a manor. They can also be used to represent outer building walls and doors on a street.
Scale
The set is based on the standard 1 inch = 5 feet in scale for 25/28mm figures, this should be compatible with other scenery, floor plans and battle mats. The pieces fit within 1 inch grid squares - width dimensions are slightly shorter than 1 inch per side - this worked much better in the playtests, especially where many blocks were used.

Assembly (instructions also provided in PDF)
Print to card or heavy paper (selecting pages in the PDF carefully first). Trim with scissors and glue the tabs. The designs are all cuboid and don't require scenery modelling experience or elaborate instructions. However, the L-block and Steps will require a little extra thought because they are more irregular in shape. Confident modellers may wish to change the location and sizes of the tabs to meet their preferences.
Weighting movable blocks: we recommend a loose weight, such as a coin or metal washer inserted into the blocks during assembly, this counters “nudge and sneeze damage” during tabletop play. Blu-tack and temporary sticking substances may also help.
Flip for raised floor
The blocks can be used as interior walls, however they have a dual function. They have two different designs for the “top” face. Most of the blocks can be flipped over to represent a raised area or second storey with a wooden floor. Your inn can have a stage or a sleeping area, adjoined with the steps block (or the referee can state that there is a ladder – like in a hovel or cottage)
Please Note: This is a print-and-play accessory only. It is not intended for digital editing or use with VTT software.
