Slayers is a fantasy role-playing game set in worlds of fallen empires and declining civilizations. Power is obtained by shedding blood. Knowledge is scarce, but precious where it exists. Dragons, ghosts and demons are real, yet rare. Cities are few and travel between them fraught with peril. These are places plunged into the darkness by barbarian invasions, plagues and collapse.

Yet there is light in these realms, brave warriors and daring wizards who stand against the darkness to protect the weak. Rumors speak of small kingdoms led by such men. Perhaps destiny plans greatness for you as well.
