Five stars means a lot coming from one of the most recognizable reviewers on the forums, KTFish7. Thanks for the glowing review. Dramatic Entrance was a big hit around the office.
As you can imagine, all the content we publish is legal at our table. I expect a lot of crashing-through-the-skylight-like-Batman rogue action in the next campaign I run.

Thanks for your review and your excellent product rating, Jonasty1031. Apprentice is definately more flavorful than powerful, but it was fun playing around with a "conditional proficiency" mechanic. It's nice to see it mentioned by a reviewer in light of the flashier talents like Dramatic Entrance and Sneak Attack Spree. Same for Light Sleeper.

Just thought I'd share this. One of my players took Dramatic Entrance on his gunslinger 3/rogue 2 character. He's going for the assassin prestige class and plans on using his Death Attack as a vehicle for his Dramatic Entrance.
Not that he needs the talent, because his initiative modifier is +13, but that's another story.
Anyway, the players hit 5, this character takes his second rogue level, and he tries to use Dramatic Entrance in the first combat. Doesn't work out - he's spotted. Long story short, the players are sneaking through the crags in Belzken (destination: the Brimstone Haruspex) and a couple of orc lookouts spot the "point man" gunslinger. They wipe up the encounter and continue through the crags until they reach this magically-hidden cave entrance. Now the only thing that's in the cavern are bats. I made a point of this because the cave entrance is disguised by a permanent silent image spell that a bat's blindsense will see right through. A perfect bat lair, right? So the cave is full of bats - I make this big deal about how many bats there are on the ceiling because I thought the "visible only to blindsense" bat lair idea was so cool.
And of course I tuck in an encounter with a couple of dire bats. Orcs and bats and caves! What an imaginative GM I am. Anyway, the gunslinger is playing "point man" again and creeps up to the dire bats' resting place with the rest of the party just around the bend. Not so close as to risk blindsense detection - but close enough to draw a bead with his guns.
His Stealth check succeeds; he attacks with his firearm in the surprise round - his long jacket billowing out behind him. BOOM! The gunfire echoes throughout the caverns and enormous swarms of bats explode into motion, fluttering around everywhere in a panic. The player says: "so that qualifies as a dramatic entrance, right?" He wins initiative, crits on the second shot, and blows the head off of one of the dire bats.
It was pretty satisfying. : D
