This is the first issue fot the age of worms campaign. That alone is worth getting the issue.
The Whispering Cairn is a great 1st level adventure for Veterans & Newcomers of DnD. The balanace of hack and slash, Brians before brawn , and ROLE playing are perfect.
The Diamond lakes backdrop was a must read for each DM wishing to run the whole campaign.
Temple of the Scopion god and Chambers of Antiquities are also good solid adventures.
Am I the only person who was sorely disappointed by this cover? Not because the quality, but because the fight shown wasn't in the magazine. I see this cover and since I'd read the previews for Dungeon, I automatically start thinking "Holy crap, low level PCs fighting gargantuan burrowing worms! How the hell did Paizo pull this off in 3.5 without it being an auto TPK?"
Issue arrives and no giants worms for the PCs to fight. :(

I don't know about only person, but if I recall correctly, when it came out I figured it was merely to imply that the Age of Worms was going to be a big thing.
Remember, When Age of Worms came out, it was only the Second AP Paizo had ever done. Prior to Shackled City, Dungeon Magazine actually had a policy against sequential adventures & the AP concept was very much untried & experimental.
So, no, I never expected that issue to actually have a scene where the PC's faced off against gargantuan worms.
Yes, I'm that old...

Yes, you are the only one. That is an awesome cover.
Is the scan any good? I'm running a conversion of this set in, of all things, the Star Wars universe. Might buy this to save wear and tear on my physical copy, given what they cost on eBay, but only if it's taken from the original files, or at the very least, a good scan with clean, easily readable text.
I, er, might have found a scan of this issue elsewhere on the Web. But it's not of very good quality even for the time - blurry with no OCR, bookmarks, or other features I'd hope for. If it's of the same quality as the web enhancement, though, consider me a buyer.
As for multi-issue Dungeon adventures, everyone seems to be forgetting Shackled City. That predates AoW by a couple years or so and is nearly as long and ambitious. And, this very issue contains a continuation of the Maure Castle scenario from an earlier issue. I'm sure there are other examples.
