So I just ran the first encounter with some pregens to get a feeling for the difficulty. It was quite doable however some questions arose while doing the encounter.
The description says that the golem got hit by a fireball trap to little effect, however in the description of its immunity to magic it is stated that whenever it is targeted by fire magic it takes 6d8 damage instead of the normal effect.
I have two questions regarding this:
1. The description implies that a spell does not have to hit, targeting is enough which would make this creature insanely susceptible to fire cantrips.
2. When it has a weakness to fire magic, the description from earlier that the fireball trap had little affect should be flatout wrong as the fireball gets "empowered".
I played the encounter so that the effects (fireray and produce flame) had to hit to deal damage. Not sure if that was correct.
