The sheriff backs up half a step smiling a bit as Vladlena's hair starts to glow and her face becomes flushed. Eldon starts to intervene but is cut short quite intentionally. Little Miss please calm yourself, If I had conclusive evidence you committed any crime we would be talking elsewhere. But until the culprit is caught the Harrowstone Memorial is off grounds anyone trespassing on these grounds are subject to arrest and prosecution.

The sheriff seems to be speaking more too the crowd rather than the halflings. You feel this is all a elaborate ruse to quell disgruntled townsfolk with a predisposed mob mentality

While Eldon is off looking at something in the woods near the statue the sheriffs turns and speaks to Vladlena. Well Madam this is why i have asked you to accompany me to the memorial. The initial "V" appears to a signature of types or very well could even be a nickname of sorts. When I spoke to Councilmen Gharen this morning mentioning this incident he told me he had spoken to some very charismatic strangers one of which seemed seemed very intrigued about the location of the memorial.It just so happens that halfling happens to have a name starting with the letter "V" also. Thats rather peculiar don't you think?

The sheriff smiles as he notices coughing as he looks down again at the childlike Vladlena. I can't stay Madam Lorrimor, the deputies and myself are going door to door informing everyone that there was an apparent vandalism at the Harrowstone Memorial some point after dark last night. We are asking everyone to keep an eye out for any suspicious behavior or individuals. upon uttering his last word he looks down to the halfling. I'm sorry I didn't get your name madam..
