Sorry about being MIA. Life has been busy. Went from being a confirmed bachelor to being engaged to be married in October. Not to mention a promotion at work, and a few vacations in there. Time has been at a premium. Glad to see things are still moving along though.

As some left to chase down the last of the running bandits, some cared for the wounded, and some started searching fallen foes for prizes William quietly walked through the fortress with a slight limp. The goat made his way to the stairs leading up and walked to the over head balcony. Once there the goat simply stared off into the darkness.

William’s interior Monologue:

Finally the fight is over. I have chased the final foe into the darkness and some of those who follow me seek him out. I have defeated my enemies , felling them with my own horns, and withstanding whatever they chose to throw at me. I have taken control of and cleaned out this den of villainy. This shall be the seat of my power where I shall rule from. From this place I will survey all my dominion. I have won the battle and am entitled to the victor’s prize.

At the Temple of Razmiran
As the temple is lit on fire Brezik gets a big smile on his face and becomes lost in the spectacle of the fire and his own thoughts.

Fire and flames have always been an important part of his life. Whether it was the creative power of the forge, the life sustaining sustenance of his mother's oven, the family hearth where his family kept warm on so many cold nights, or even the tales of the keepers flame that powered a young dwarves imagination for so many year... this simple elemental force had always been an important part of Brezik's life. He looked around the square and saw all the people gathered there, not just the guards, but the shop owners, merchants, and working folk of the city with there families. It was a rare spectacle that reminded Brezik of the Winter festival bonfires of his childhood back in Kassen.

Brezik turned to say something to his friends...
Hey guys...
but seeing them not there he took one last look at the city inhabitants gathered around the bonfire and went looking for his friends, happily whistling a little working song his father had taught him as a child.
Whistle while you work....
--------------------------
At the Forest Bounty

The door burst open and in rushed Brezik the last to arrive, seeing as he actually had enjoyed watching the fire burn, a huge smile on his face.

Oh hey there you guys are. You're missing a great bonfire out there.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6; Totally oblivious to the somber mood of his friends the Dwarf moves towards the bar and claps Allister on his back... just a little too hard.

Boy we did some great work today... we should celebrate... An Ale Barkeep.

Looking over at Allister Brezik sees his empty mug.

And another for my friend. But we shouldn't drink on an empty stomach. We're liable to get drunk and do something stupid. Barkeep get us some of that Mutton I smell roasting back there. Better get me two servings.

Brezik takes a long draught from the mug that is handed to him and then turns addressing his friends and anyone else who might happen to be in the room not really caring who hears.

Did you guys see all those people out there. Men women kids... they all know what this means. No more Razmiran's picking there pockets, extorting them for protection money and then using peoples own stolen money to buy their own homes from under them so that they can just raise the rent. We really did a good thing going into that den of thieves and bringing a light to what was going on ther. Get it Allister we brought a light...

Brezik claps Allister on the back again and seeing two plates of mutton being brought to him and Allister he grabs a piece taking a big bite out of the meat.

Wemindds mwe ugf...gulp... Reminds me of when I was a kid.... musta been 25 years ago.... We had this really bad winter where they were talking about calling off the Towns Wintefest Bonfire Party. It had been really cold and no one had any extra fire wood for the bonfires. Well old man Wilson... He was just Mr Wilson back then... well he had this old rickety barn that needed tearing down. Kids used to dare each other to go running through it thinking the whole thing could come crashing down any second. Well old man I mean Mr. Wilson comes to the town elders and tells em if they come and tear the barn down then they can do whatever they want with the wood.

Brezik stops to take another bite from his mutton and washes it down with some ale leaving a mysterious dark spot in his beard.

Well next thing you know next day the whole town is out tearing down that old barn. Ma even let me and Flint go with Da to pass out Hot Cider to the workers. I swear though I drank more cider than I gave out. Town gave most of the wood to folks who was having it roughest that year, but still had more than enough wood to have the biggest bonfire I ever did see.... Well that was until tonight.

Still unawares to his friends mood the dwarf having finished telling his companions what he had wanted to tell them back at the Temple begins to work at the mutton in earnest.

Lanarial... I see the boy forget trying to fight this thing and get him... I have an idea of how to distract this thing for you... It's a longshot though...

Perform string: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30 ...This is also the skill I role for diplomacy and bluff thanks to versatile performace... so take whichever has the best chance of working... just trying the type of thing I would expect to see in an old movie...

Alledueces steps away and takes out his Lute and begins to play a song for the Whisperer hoping to confuse, or at least draw it away from Lanarial...

A long time ago under the sun shining bright...
A long time ago with the wind blowing in the trees...
A long time ago we played until the coming of the night...
A long time ago It was upon the cliff above the sea...

Just a short time ago the saddest of days came...
Just a short time ago when my dearest friend fell...
Just a short time ago it was time for the end of the game...
Just a short time ago came the tolling of the old church bell...

Now it is time to change into our sleeping clothes...
Now it is time to prepare for to get into bed...
Now it is time to put aside all the days woes...
Now it is time to lay down your weary head...

When Corynne entered the room Srelenon was simply sitting back enjoying the effects of the alcohol in his system. He had developed a fondness for all the different colors of the bottles behind the bar. At that moment he had actually been wondering what was in the purple bottle at the left end of the bar. He had never seen anyone drink from it...

His thoughts were interrupted by Azaghâl:

Azaghâl Flintbreaker wrote:
"That one is...different."

and Alice:

Alice Kildare wrote:
"Another girl came in, big guy, time to shine."

No need Alice.. I think you might like me a little more than you realize...

Srelenon looked over to where Alice was headed and seeing Corynne the young Eladrin quickly shook off some of the effects of the Alcohol.

He answered Azaghâl's observation in a tone meant to not carry beyond those at the bar.

Corynne... She's got a reputation around the RHC. I guess some of the agents started calling her "Spook", when she wasn't around. Saxsby got word of that and shut it down right quick.

I read one of her reports one time... A body had washed up on the beach. Fish had been at it and there was virtually no evidence. Well Corynne heads off on a twenty minute hike in a random direction and heads straight for the murder scene. Apparently there was enough evidence at the murder scene to find the killer. But according to the report... Corynne had followed the ghost of the murder victim to where they had been killed. Can you imagine that?... seeing dead people.

Hope you don't mind Corynne, but Corynne seemed to be the type that people would talk about behind her back.

Sounds like Vivian is thinking Leadership feat at level 7...

My thought process is you go one project at a time. Our characters are still young and convincing anyone in town to follow your vision will be tough. But setting up and fortifying a guild hall as a place to make, gather, and store adventuring supplies is something you can do with your own land. Once the hall is established... and you have a little more clout in town I'm sure the rest of your plans will come to fruition... it's just a matter of time... developing and roleplaying relationships, and so forth...

"You may grab a hammer and help build a house for a neighbor as Torag or Abadar would have you do, and nothing is wrong with that, but what if you could design that house better and more efficiently? What if you could bring both trained and hearty workers to the mission? Would not the work go much faster and the result a better house in the end? That is Irori's message. Self improvement helps everybody in the end: It is how you apply that improvement to the world around you that matters. Both to YOU and the gods in the end. Does that help?"

...but I don't get better at working the forge by sitting in a corner and exercising... I get better at working the forge, by making things for other people. You don't do good thing for other people by making yourself better. You make yourself better by doing good things for other people.

Belathorian Twice Born wrote:
"How does Torag look after people? I mean does he..."

Of course he does... He was one of the first Gods to stand against that destroyer Rovagug. He's the greatest forger of all the world... and by that I mean he forged the world.

Brezik pulls out his hammer and starts pantomiming himself working at the forge. It is obvious that this is something he is very excited about.

He made Golarion with great big swings of his hammer over and over again shaping the world in to the pattern of his design. Sparks flew out where his hammer struck the rock and where the sparks fell we Dwarves came to be... down in the Underdark. That's where he taught my ancestors about family and community... the fact that strength comes from working with others. He cared for us taught us how to be ready for the future. What's more important is that he taught us about the forge and how to create things...

Brezik says this last part as if there is no possible way that there could be anything better or more important than working the forge. For him that's true and it has never occurred to him that others might have a different idea about what is best in life.
