![]() We are running the styes and my character got blasted at the end of the last adventure. I have decided to run an NPC that the DM had, and I was wondering if he was part of the adventure as written or if it was my DMs placeholder. Is there a character (Cleric of Cuthbert) named Bartholemew in the Styes and does he have stats? ![]()
![]() I think it would be really neat for a customer to designate what issue in the future they might want to start a subscription when paying for it. This makes sure a customer does not get duplicates. Say for instance a customer was going to subscribe in order to get savage tide. But he is not sure if he missed the first issue. He could say start at issue 2 of savage tide and I will pick up the first. Or when a customer is anticipating a series like istivan or the blood of Malar, they can say to start it there. just a thought. ![]()
![]() So now that we know that there is going to be a third adventure path, does that mean that we will see Age of Worms in a book? I hope that this is the case. It would be cool to see a book that had all the adventures, backdrops and such with the wormfood (and other associated artices maybe) from dragon. I can understand if this can't be announced until the last issue has been released as it might kill sales, but I figured I would ask. At least us non-paizoers can talk about it. ![]()
![]() So, say the rolls are bad (Or you are just a RBDM) and you TPK on the adventure path. What do you do? Do you start over? Do you role up a party of the appropriate level and continue? Can such a contingency be written into an AP? Just wondering because for my players and myself there is a thrill in the fact that a party could be wiped out. This element of risk is what makes the game fun. That a character could die or that the party might not make it. It seems to me that there might be a tendency to let em live simply because the DM wants to play through the adventure. I was wondering what people had for suggestions if you might not finish the AP with the party you started with. ![]()
![]() I would like to ask him about the level of control he has had with some of his novels while writing them. Reading the Icewind Dale Trilogy, some parts were dead on and you could tell were well written. Others seemed forced and clunky. The four books where they went into the underdark were just hideous. As were the silent blade and spine of the world. Then somthing changed and Servant of the Shard was absolutely awesome IMO, and I have found Sea of Swords to be nearly as good. The stories are pulpy which I like, and his structure, pacing and writing has improved. I am looking forward to the hunters blades trilogy and the Jarlaxle and Entreri books. A. |
