2nd level spell from the advanced player's guide.

Two issues I see.
One is the target, "1 non-magical object in your possession of 1 Bulk or less."
Two is the mechanical discription, "The spell fails if the target lacks component pieces (such as a statue carved from one block of stone), and using it on a dangerous object like a snare or trap typically triggers it. The object gains the broken condition, and the component pieces become small enough to be hidden under normal clothing and armor. You can Dismiss the spell.
This suggests that you can target a trap. The effect is that the trap triggers. If the trap as Many pieces it should still be broken down after triggering.
The next questions is, how heavy is a trap, and what counts as in possession?
This spell dose not help you bring something like that weapon into a party as the weight of the object dose not change, also the duration is far to short.
This spell feels like it was suppost to be a move a trap or door around and replace it later fun spell. Then during edit it was given a vary poor target to weaken this spell. Is this spell even functional?
Can you use the reach spell to target a trap 30 ft away even though it is not in your position. If you canst sigil on the trap with reach putting you name on the trap first make it your possession?
I added my funny work around to lighten the mood.
