I hope I am not overstepping my bounds, but I am treating this thread as I would if I were recruiting via the Gameplay thread over at Flaxseed Station.

An elderly, white-haired man enters the room, pressing a comm unit firmly against his ear. “Hello? hello? Can anyone hear me? Is this thing even on?” The man slams the comm unit against a table in front of him with enough force to cause a piece of the comm unit to break off, leaving exposed wires dangling from within.

“Nothing! That power outage must have brought the whole blasted comm system down. Sure, such power outages were almost routine during my tour making repairs to The Master of Stars, but I’d expect to be able to use the comm service while here on the station!” The man sighs. I suppose I’ll have to do this the old fashioned way.

Climbing up on the table, the man shouts, “If you can hear me, listen up! Venture-Captain Arvin has asked that I contact some fresh Starfinder agents for an urgent mission. With the comm unit down, I’m afraid that I can’t tell you anything more so I suppose that you’ll all just be heading into the unknown. All I know for sure is that you need to report to the Venture-Captain at his office, here on this station.”

The man awkwardly stumbles down from the table and heads for the door, tossing the remains of comm unit in the trash on his way out.

An elderly man rushes into the room, looking harried and rather nervous. "Reynald Talbot!" The man shouts into the room, usually occupied by Starfinder agents looking for new assignments. "Are any of you Reynald Talbot? Please, let just one of you be Reynald Talbot!"

Frantically looking over the assembly, the man works his way through the crowd uttering, "Talbot! Talbot! Talbot!", trying desperately to locate the Starfinder. After several minutes, he consigns himself to failure.

"So, it must be true what they say." The man says, slumping down in an empty chair, looking hopeless and defeated. "Talbot has left the Starfinder Society. Gone off, who knows where?"

The man sighs, "I just hope that he didn't take anything with him." A chill works its way down the man's spine. "Oh, I guess I'd better tell the Venture-Captain about this. Chances are, he's going to want to do something about it!"

“The comm system is down!?” cries an elderly man as he slams a comm unit against the table in front of him. “ You have got to be kidding me! Such power outages seemed to be routine while I was helping with all those repairs on The Master of Stars, but I’d expect to be able to use the comm service while here on the station.” The man sighs. I suppose I’ll have to do this the old fashioned way.”

Climbing up on one of the tables, the man shouts, ”Listen up! Venture-Captain Arvin has asked that Starfinders Darqen Taabestuun, Vchk, Neon Punk and… wait, is this name right? It looks like something out of some sitcom… Zapp Brannigan, Nameless Man … all report to his office for briefing! With the comm unit down, I’m afraid that I can’t tell you anything more so I suppose that you’ll all just be heading into the unknown. ”
