Nyla was born on Mandalore, homeworld to the Mandalorian culture, to a proud family line. Her father died when she was very young, so her mother took it upon herself to raise her. Her mother was a Nite Owl and fought during the Battle of Sundari where she was mortally wounded. After escaping the planet, she was reunited with Nyla and passed her blaster carbine and pistol on to her daughter before succumbing to her wounds. In the aftermath, Nyla followed in her mother’s footsteps and joined the Nite Owls as an initiate.
While she hasn’t yet earned her own set of Mandalorian Beskar’gam armor, she plans to prove to her superiors (and her mother’s memory) that she is worthy of such a prize. She has now struck out on her own as a gun-for-hire, mercenary, and bounty hunter, which has led her to Sel Zonn Station looking for work.
At a young age Nyla discovered that she was sensitive to the Force and has secretly developed her powers, becoming relatively strong in telekinetics. She wouldn’t mind getting hold of a lightsaber of her own, but knows that with the current regime such a fancy could be deadly.
