The duel-sided caster's twisted face seems to almost grin in anticipation as he sets his hands into motion, his voice twisting the arcane words together to form a spell. Meanwhile, the hammer-handed and the embedded-axe N'gathau are advancing, moving into flanking positions around the group, leaving Yrrin to combat the one he charged, aiming to fight the apparent casters of the enemy group (namely, Sadie and Phaezeriel). Both of them have advanced within charging distance of Sadie, Phaezeriel and Vai, and are preparing to go on the offensive.

A hail of arrows from the implated-bow N'gathau fly out to strike at the dragon shape of Vai.

Vai's roar is truncated into a horrible half-whelp/half-scream as she's pierced by many arrows, sinking in between her scales. Her blood flows freely, but she's still standing, if barely.

If Yrrin managed to stay out of the pit, he'll notice the one N'gathau he is facing is taking a defensive...

A grostesque and twisted humanoid creature. The 'bow' it is wielding is actually fused into it's flesh, with an extra tentacle-ish appendage to draw the string. The creature has no hair, and as a distinct head and face, but the flesh is warped and twisted. All throughout his body there are metal spikes pierced into it, the stomach is distended and swollen. It is truly a horrifying sight, but those present are above it.

Several of the groups' blow strike home, and the creature screeches slightly in pain, but another arrow slots into place from inside the creature - apparently it has a self-loading mechanism, and it prepares another attack...

However, both Belyu and Vickory can hear a very slight rustling in the undergrowth some twenty feet ahead on the track. They see nothing there, but there could be an invisible creature, or it could simply be a small woodland creature. It could also be the first sign of their attackers...

Speaking aloud now for Belyu's benefit, at least until they needed quiet, Vai speaks on the location in her mind. Her voice wavers and quivers, but she refuses to let that stop her. "Back.... Aegythrax would demand tribute from us... he would take... a girl. He would demand new ones be brought and tied to... to a rock, up on the s-slope of that hill over there." she points at the hill in the direction that the container had been dragged away.

Sadie is a tactical genius, but she's primarily worked with different types of conflicts. The concept of the 'standard adventuring party' is utterly foreign to her, so Ana's questions make no sense.

You just get no results from them for the detect. You know the ability isn't working on them and you can see their Champion auras so it's not too hard to figure out why you get nothing from them. This will be true of Vai as well as Anahita since they're both Champions.

Well, you know what they say about assuming. If it's actually the power of a your Patron at work, you definitely do not get any results from Anahita.

The champion powers don't affect each other is only direct...

A fireball won't hurt you, but the "waves" of good & evil you give off don't stop because the power that lets me detect them is patron related...

I'm pretty sure everything sentient, has an alignment, by the way, it's part of the game system unless obscured some how.

Detect good, detect evil, detect law, detect chaos, detect magic....

Yrrin's sword is unsheathed in a blink... firstly he checks the immediate area for any hostilities...

Then his ring hums slightly as he scans the area for lingering magical auras.

1d20 + 16 + 5 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 16 + 5 + 2 + 2 = 41
