Maybe our gracious DM will choose to run two games with so many compelling candidates. :)
As much as I would like to do that, if not just because of the sheer number of great applications, I'm not that masochistic. Having watched a couple fledgeling games specifically to see how the first week or two worked out here, I also saw a GM do precisely that and then seem to disappear. When you get right down to it, I worry that doing that would thin my ability to maintain the right amount of focus that a good campaign requires, given my amount of free time, and I don't want to give you anything short of my undistilled, essential stuff.
