Well I would offer to kiss your hand, if I knew where it was, the goblin looks all around. Having brought my tidings, I shall collect my companion and depart. I have business sadly more urgent than this 'social' call.
He briefly bows, then heads out of the grove, where he 'reacquires' Tangessa, and heads off elsewhere.

To Lynora-Jill:
The goblin seems surprised by the 'voice out of nowhere'.

Ah. You would be an entwife? he hazards a guess. Assuming you speak for the grove I shall be delighted to convey your message.

This is just a passing visit to let you know that the ne'er do well who killed Spring Sapling has apparently left the Realms of Dream, the goblin looks slightly embarrassed.

The Runelord is apparently in two minds about this, but as a courtesy, since on some of his good days he still has some regard for you here, I thought it best to let you know.
Yames doesn't realise he's already been ninja'ed in bringing this news.
"Give him our thanks for sending us this news. We are...preparing as much as we can. That one is slippery and causes more trouble than should be possible." You can hear the distaste in her voice as she speaks about the one who killed her.

Does she have any means to address Yames? He desn't actually have any stars in his possession, isn't telepathic, and doesn't have any commune with nature like spells currently running.

Leaving the auburn haired lady at the edge of the trees, the goblin with the tuxedo and bowtie makes his way into the grove, and looks around.
Just an indication here as to some continuing interest from the Runelord.

If you'll excuse us?, the goblin nods to Azuri'ith, and he and his companion make their way off a little through the spectators to embark upon some sort of debate.

So if the dragon wasn't working for you, then why exactly was it looking for these items?, the goblin's companion, Tangessa pipes up. You must have some idea, surely?

Azuri'ith wrote:
"Hmmmm. Would these souvenirs be small star-shaped gems perhaps? Does this goblin still have them? Or did the dragon take them? They are indeed very important to us. We need to collect all of them. It is very important."

The goblin who originally collected them is long dead - several hundred years have passed in the Realms of Dream, and goblins, alas, are not that long-lived. His descendents do not have them any longer either. It was a small but quite ferocious and powerful dragon.

You haven't denied yet that this dragon was working for you.

I work for the Eighth Runelord, who had removed himself and most of his people to the Realms of Dream to try and avoid trouble, the goblin continues, but there was recently an unpleasant incident involving a dragon who wanted some souvenirs a goblin had collected a number of years before in the desert near the Oasis of Still Water.
As far as the Runelord can determine the souvenirs in question have something to do with your family, and I am making one last attempt to find out what is going on, before the Runelord starts authorising assassinations.
The last time anything like this occured it involved a plot by a hobgoblin wizard to blow up a couple of small islands so that he could collect a plague formula that he hoped would give him control of several countries, so the Runelord is endeavouring to remain open-minded regarding your involvement despite the extreme aggravation that said dragon visit has caused him.

The goblin and his companion reach Azuri'th's party, and the goblin makes a sweeping bow.
Yames Boornd, the goblin introduces himself. And the lovely lady who is my companion is a reformed erinyes, Tangessa.
You would be Azuri'ith, right? he addresses the elemental.

A goblin in a tuxedo and bowtie accompanied by a beautiful auburn-haired woman is making his way through the spectators in the direction of Azuri'ith's party.

Yames Boornd made a post, where he took a shot at The Giggler, which seems to be currently in limbo...

Up on the ridge, the goblin finally has a clear shot, as the Giggler is distracted by the Shadow. He sqeezes the trigger and empties the crossbow's magazine into the Giggler's head. He then hurriedly withdraws back down behind the ridge and makes his way off the battlefield to a different location.
Not expecting the Giggler to be very much inconvenienced by a dozen adamantine tipped crossbow bolts through the head, even with the antimagic, although the antimagic is suppressing some of the Giggler's least favourite spells which will go off once the antimagic is dispelled.
Regards from the Eighth Runelord....

Up on a ridge on the opposite side of the valley to the reddish skeletons, armed with a repeating crossbow with a telescopic sight and loaded with adamantine tipped anti-magic bolts tipped, a goblin in camouflage is tracking one particular target...

The goblin nods to the Dalesman and Allura, finishes his cocktail, and slips off around a pillar.

All I know at the moment is that I've been told to observe any gypsy movements, see who they associate with, track if possible, but not to approach to within earshot. And to keep an eye on what Shovastika is upto, in case she seems particularly interested in them.

He gives the impression he thinks that they or their master are working for something more subtle and dangerous than the vampire and her army.

The Dalesman wrote:
"So is anything else going on at the Place of Wind, or is there some other place everyone has gone off to?"

I'm not clear. I believe there was talk of mustering forces on the plains of RPG; I don't know if that is some sort of bluff or if they have solid information that the vampire and her forces who attacked the Place of Winds will show up there.

The Eighth Runelord is currently more concerned about itinerent gypsies, although it turns out some of them may have been near here recently, and it strikes me that perhaps they could have something to do with the unluck fetishes I hear Sunny G has his servants scouring this place for.

The Dalesman wrote:
"Peachy. So what is her involvement in all this - trying to play both sides against the middle, or just profiting from others' strife and intrigue?"

The latter I would say. Sometimes the only obvious profit she seems to derive is her own amusement, or perhaps the furtherment of the causes of chaos and anarchy.

Her information, if paid for, is always good - she would not have the reputation she enjoys if it were not - but it may not be completely to the hearer's liking.
If your master has been conspiring to kill your mutual lord, your brother has been having an adulterous affair with your wife, or your most trusted servant has been defrauding you for years, odds are she will know, and may offer to sell you the bad news.
She makes my life a little awkward at times, the goblin looks embarrassed, given some of the women I associate with in my line of duty and their jealous and not nearly-so-charming husbands.

The goblin makes a face.
She is no colleague of mine. I carry out my noble trade for the Eighth Runelord. She is an independent operator, a mistress of disguise and the arts of treachery, always first on the betrayal when treachery is in the air, never where an ambush is set for her, and with turn-of-the-last-millenium techniques for gathering and processing information. That last bit said, she is remarkably effective at keeping tabs on almost anything and everything. But her prices can get very high.

As to that I'm unclear. I think that when Lynora-Jill left here she may have gone to the Grove of Ancients to rest for a time.
I've been shuttling back and forth between here and the bazaar the last few days, apart from making a rendezvous with a colleague at the Oasis. Something big is going down. The independent spymistress Shovastika has been going frantic with her network of agents.

The Goblin with the tuxedo and bow tie emerges from behind a pillar, a cocktail glass in hand, having apparently overheard the Dalesman's question.
There was a big fight here a couple of days ago. A creature from the old Palace of Skulls attacked, and it did something to Alaina during the fight, and the god and the woman Lynora-Jill went off on a spirit-quest or something similar to attempt to retrieve her soul, because it had been driven out of her body.
Now the god's trying to figure out how to put the soul back in the body.

Eventually, the goblins conclude their conversation, and the goblin with the tuxedo and bowtie heads off in the direction of the portal, and leaves the oasis.

Occasionally the goblin with the tuxedo and bowtie raises an eyebrow - or on the odd occasion both.

Looking as cool as a cucumber, the goblin in the tuxedo and bowtie from the casino strolls into the oasis, and makes for the pool, where he refreshes himself, and then leans casually against a date palm tree, apparently waiting for someone.
He has an appointment with Auruns scheduled, but I am off to bed right now. Happy Easter everyone, from the UK.

The goblin waits politely whilst Alaina talks to other guests, but a sudden pinging noise makes him produce a pocket watch out of one of his many pockets. He flips it open and looks at something, before he snaps the cover abruptly shut.
Excuse me. Have to go. Got to see a man about a wolf. Here. The goblin tosses Acme (or whoever is the barkeep) a couple of electrum pieces. Buy the lady whatever she's drinking, and keep the change.
The goblin hurries out.

The goblin heads over to Alaina.
So you're the hostess of this place? What's a beautiful woman like you drinking when she's on duty?

A goblin dressed in a tuxedo and bow tie arrives.
The name's Boornd. Yames Boornd, the goblin announces.
I have been sent to establish that goblin minions of The Eighth Runelord will - if properly dressed and behaving themselves - will be admitted into this establishment. Conditional to us not being forced to sing.
