Wysteria gestures the winged puddle towards the Orange rat as she hurries towards the Yellow one. The airborne liquid flaps slowly towards the gathered crowd, taking its leisurely time, despite the urgency.

That will require a double move, so no Drenching this round.

Completing her own hurried jog towards the Yellow rodent, Wysteria frowns at the bisected creature, wondering what she can do to help... Shrugging, she attempts to extricate the explosive from the creature's remains, hoping that makes Zekki's job easier.

Just to clarify, was the Mephit able to Drench Blue successfully, or did that just make it wet?

Wysteria orders the mephit to soak the remains of the rat thoroughly with its Drench ability, which seemed to ruin the green rat's explosive.

Looking around the area, she picks a surviving rat and, using her last Focus Point, hurls her scythe at it one more time, hoping to finish it off.

Not sure who's left, so I'll try to clean up whatever's left. If none of them remain, I'll try to move over to a bomb and try to disarm with whatever skill I have that would work the best.

Trying desperately to keep track of the rats, Wysteria urges the Mephit to soak the blue one, but quickly realizes that despite its wings, the watery creature is just not fast enough to reach it in time.

The mephit double-moves north towards Blue, trying to encourage it to run nearer Iskra and Clarence.

In an attempt to slow the blue rat down, possibly for good, she quickly pulls out her scythe and hurls it at the rodent, aiming for the direction it seems poised to run. As added insurance, she nudges Rivulet to refresh the True Strike she had expended earlier...

Wysteria winces in sympathy with Clarence. Between that wild swing and the promise of ale turning out to be a cruel lie, this is clearly not Clarence's lucky day.

Letting the shield next to Zekki drop as she gasps in surprise, Wysteria looks alarmed at the flood of rats pouring out of the crate. Grimacing for just an instant, she begins to intone mystic syllables as a blob of water rises out of the harbour and forms into a winged creature next to the green rodent.

As the creature takes form, Wysteria orders it to stun the rat and soak it thoroughly, hopefully dampening any explosion that might happen...

Using the Drench ability: ◆(abjuration, arcane, water) The water mephit puts out all fires in a 5-foot emanation. The mephit extinguishes all non-magical fires automatically and attempts to counteract magical fires (+7 counteract modifier).

The petals around Wysteria's face stand up slightly at Zekki's declaration. She takes a step back and mutters a few mystical words, creating a familiar glowing barrier around Zekki...

"Careful, my dear. The ale around here can be somewhat volatile, I've heard."

Spending a focus point and putting an Amped Shield around Zekki. If there's any damage-causing effect that the shield can mitigate, I'll expend all three layers for a 10-point reduction.

Wysteria walks over towards the heavy cask, relaxing after the apparently uneventful analysis of the hallucinogenic incense.

"Clarence, this may be your lucky day! I think you may be our expert here," she says, watching the workers wrestle the barrel into place.

Wysteria carefully leans down and peers at the strange powder, wondering if it might be of recognizable origin...

"Well, no, I wouldn't eat it, but all I need is sunlight. And occasionally some fertilizer. A few well-ripened rodents or fish, perhaps," Wysteria says as she smiles at the memory of a delightful rotting trout she had once in Taldor.

"So, I think we can mark this as safe, no? And what was next, incense?"

"Trap? No, these are preservation magics, just to keep things fresh... Aren't they" Wysteria frowns, taking a few steps back, and looking from Rickle to the box and back again.

"Ah, just regular magic, nothing harmful," she says, nodding firmly and stepping back to the box. "I'll take a closer look, see?"

Wysteria carefully picks up one of the bundles and unwraps it to confirm that the contents are merely vegetables, holding it up to show the others.

I hope...

Wysteria's head snaps back and she blinks repeatedly at the intense miasma wafting from the crate. "Well, the stronger the scent, the fresher the herbs, so these are still quite effective, I think. You may wish to grab a few for the next batch of your salve, Zekki," she suggests.

Taking the chance to step away from the fragrant foliage, Wysteria joins Clarence near the vegetables, again taking the opportunity to examine the crate a bit before it gets cracked open.

Wysteria looks around at the group and holds out a hand for the crowbar. Once she has the implement, she somewhat gingerly pries open the box, averting her face slightly in case there's an explosion of some kind...

"Ah, maybe someone with more muscles?"

"Hmm, these are not local, I think. Not from this continent. Is there more information on that manifest about what they're for, or just 'Herbs'?" Wysteria muses out loud.

She turns and looks around for the crowbar before remembering that she didn't memorize Mage Hand today after all. "This one next?"

Wysteria takes a moment to recover, paging through a sheaf of leaves covered in tightly-packed mystical script. Rivulet sits on her shoulder and emits tiny droplets of shimmering liquid that are rapidly absorbed into her skin.

"Well, that was quite a discovery. I hope the other crates are less violent, but we should be prepared for anything, yes?"

Wysteria carefully arranges her equipment and straightens her petals, taking a few steps towards the next nearby crate. Careful not to touch the object, she carefully examines it. "Herbs, this says. Hmph."

I do have Plant Lore, if that's something that might help here.

With few non-lethal options available to her, Wysteria takes a deep breath and launches another bolt of flame at the lizard, preceding her missile with a minor enhancement to her timing, trying to avoid striking the bars...

Wysteria waits for her moment, dropping the shield on Clarence and instead using her magic to assist her aim. She points a finger to launch a gobbet of flame at the blue lizard, trying not to strike it in a vital spot, but maybe ruin its day a bit.

I'm starting to worry that maybe these lizards have the dicebot's family held hostage or something... :(

Wysteria's eyes seem to unfocus slightly as she shimmers and wavers in the morning light, her form appearing to jump back and forth in space several times before the effect fades, leaving her in a new location. Using my Bend Time ability to stride once to behind and just north of Rickle.

She mutters arcane words and raises her hand, which somehow continues to ripple in the air, as if seen through the heat shimmers of a desert sun, and carefully touches Rickle, transferring the effect to him. Casting Blur on Rickle, which will provide Concealment for one minute.

"Careful now, but I think we must put these creatures to rest, permanently or otherwise!" she says, sparing a moment of concentration to perpetuate the defensive enchantment on Clarence.

Wysteria is again shocked by the intensity of the creatures' vicious attacks. Only fair to return the favour, she thinks.

With barely a thought, she maintains the shield on Clarence, fully aware with hindsight that she may have put that on the wrong target... ;)

Taken aback by the speed of the lizards' attacks, Wysteria concentrates for a moment to maintain the shield on Clarence before taking a few steps back and hurling her scythe at the lizard's tongue wrapped around Rickle, hoping that he'd be able to defend himself better without being encased in sticky muscle...

Wysteria takes a step backwards in preparation for a possible lizard explosion from the huge crate. "Careful, I did hear something moving inside. I think they are waiting for us."

"Antarita!" she mutters, narrowing her eyes as a glowing shield of force glimmers into existence between Clarence and whatever might come out of the crate...

Wysteria is using the Amped Psychic version of the Shield cantrip to put a three-layer barrier in front of Clarence, in case something lashes out at him. Spending one focus point.

Wysteria moves towards the huge crate as well, staying a few feet away in case it were to spring open. Keeping one eye on the closure mechanism, she step nearer and gently places one hand on the crate, listening carefully for sounds or vibrations from within.

"Only two in a case this size? These are not house lizards, I think..."

Wysteria leans back, removing her hand from the water bowl and allowing the remnants of the liquid to absorb into her cuticle. "Considering the... eclectic nature of the trade that passes through this port, may we view the manifests for these shipments prior to our examination? It may help us detect any unexpected contents, I think."

"And Clarence, you may have my ale, should we be offered any. Enjoy," she says as she gently inclines her head towards the warrior.

Wysteria returns a thin smile. "No need to worry yourself. I am... adept. And I find a little magical enhancement goes a long way."

She nods at the Ysoki. "He is, but for some reason he prefers this form for the moment. I suppose I am lucky he does not turn to steam and waft away."

Wysteria smile and nods her thanks to the tavern keeper, who has returned with a bowl of water. She gently places Rivulet in the bowl and dangles a few fingers in the liquid herself, sighing in comfort as her fingertips grow a myriad of tiny light-green tendrils.

A tall and very thin creature sways through the doorway, bowing slightly to pass through. She has colourful skin and a bright spray of what look like petals surrounding her head like a rainbow crown. After a brief scan of the room, she joins the other apparent adventurers at the table, declining the offer of biscuits and coffee with a raised hand and a polite smile. "Just water, please. In a bowl?"

"I am sorry for my tardiness. I was enjoying the sunshine on my walk and became distracted by a lovely vine-covered wall not far from here. I am Wysteria, called by some the Reaper of Flowers. May I join you?"

She removes a wicked-looking scythe slung across her back and leans it against a nearby wall, gently descending into the unoccupied chair.

"Ah, and this is Rivulet. He is currently frozen," she says as she places a fist-sized lump of bluish crystal on the table.

Hi, still working on setting up my character, but I should be all set up tomorrow evening. I do have two glyphs to share out, which definitely puts us to more than the number of players. This is my second PbP game, but the first was a year ago, so I'm a bit rusty.
