About Wren

“Wren” doesn’t remember much about her early years, not even her real name. She’s fairly certain that her birth family were happy and they made her read some books when she was small but most of her young memories are overshadowed by the day she was taken away and introduced to a new life, as one of Gaedren Lamm’s little pickpockets. A pretty distraction she was dubbed the ‘little bird’ of the group she ran with often a term that spawned her usename. It was whilst working with this group that she met a boy called Talen and the two became firm friends.

A charismatic girl she had other young friends, a couple of whom were of Varisian blood and feeling lost without knowing her own blood she quickly adopted the Varisian style, wearing scarves to help with picking pockets and believing heavily in the fall of the Harrow cards, they never lead her wrong.

Whilst on a job with the other “Little Lamms” one day, she came across a holy symbol of Callistria a goddess she had developed a growing interest in over the years. Sneaking off to attend services she found a new life for herself in the clergy of the free goddess, even finding a couple of mentors willing to shelter.

Gaedren however took her discovery to heart, irritated by the girl’s betrayal he broke her holy symbol and beat her severely, leaving her for dead. Bruised, battered and broken Wren’s faith and anger at the old man’s actions kept her alive, fuelled by her goddess’ love of revenge she got back up on her feet and found her place amongst Callistria’s clergy.

About two years ago, when she was aged 21, Wren rediscovered an old friend, Talen now a young man, had also escaped Gaedren’s grip and the two resumed their strong friendship. Moving in together the former Lamms have an interesting relationship, close friends and occasionally more they don’t like to call themselves a couple as Wren still loves to explore the lustful side of her goddess’ portfolio making commitment nigh on impossible.
