About Wenn, Emerged from Darkness
Wenn was always a little different from other Ysoki. He liked the communal life of his people, but he also liked to walk alone, whether for a nighttime stroll in the meadow, or to lay in the grass and gaze at the stars above. One night on such a walk, he was snatched by a group of slavers, taken to the Darklands, and sold into a life of labor and battle. Wenn ended up a gladiator, fighting for the entertainment of others; more than once, his smaller size, natural dexterity, and keen senses saved him. He hopes that his family was not captured (especially his father and mother, Wennzi and Lili, and his younger sister Lilia), and hopes to see them again one day. Only, Wenn does not know his true homeland, though he suspects it to be in Nirmathas.
Although there was a certain camaraderie amongst the gladiators and other slaves, Wenn was friendly but mostly kept to himself. He longed for the peace of the meadow and the freedom of the night sky, and mostly kept silent counsel with a young black and white rat named Maia, whom he befriended.
One night, a vision came to him, of a white-haired woman with the wings of a butterfly, dark and unfathomably deep. She consoled Wenn, and began to teach him the ways of the Silence Between. He found great comfort in her teachings. Eventually, with the help of his little friend, Wenn was able to steal the keys from the guards, and make a daring escape with many of the other prisoners. He wandered the lands since his escape, a devoted Champion of The Silence Between, committed to bringing freedom and succor to those in distress. He has chosen for now to make the Starstone Isle his adopted home, though he lives far from the large city of Absalom.
Physical Description
Wenn has striking eyes of deep purple, and lustrous, brown fur. His most distinct markings are white-furred socks on his hind paws. He often wears a hooded cloak to cover his armaments, and to keep him warm during his travels. Maia often rides on his shoulder, or in one of his pockets.
