Background:
Waltz grew up around the docks of Absalom. As a gnome, smaller than the other children, he was often bullied. He learned how to run, dodge, anticipate. He is an artist in love with the ships he beautifies. His father worked in the shipyards of Absalom, and Waltz followed in his footsteps. He'd been working the shipyards in Absalom when a merchant ship with a less than upstanding crew docked near. The ship was beautiful even if the crew wasn't. And they had art on board. Lots of it. Several people came and went having bargained for some of it. Agents of the Pathfinder Society were tasked with ascertaining the real purpose of the ship. Waltz was hired to do some painting while the ship was in port. Waltz was recruited to help the Pathfinders. He did so well, he was recruited into the organization. He always wanted to see that ships home port, and the artwork there. So, he obtained passage on a ship bound for Port Peril. And that's why Waltz is now scouring the inns and taverns near the docks, looking for work on a ship, and access to artwork like he saw on that ship long ago.

Appearance:
Waltz is one of the tallest and largest gnomes you've ever seen. His fine white hair is worn long, in a ponytail. Bright blue eyes sparkle from a tanned face. He wears canvas breeches with a long-sleeve button up shirt.
