Nurah seems to relish imagining the tortures Karas alludes to, smirking. "They were amateurs. I warned them they needed the wisdom of Minagho, my master, but he couldn't come to supervise. Your screams were music to my ears, however, while it lasted."

Nurah ignored Avelina and addressed Karas. "They have nothing on me, but they do have something you goody-goody crusaders can never understand, power! I and others like me are part of that power, the power to hide in your very midst and divide you and bait you into attacking each other instead of us! "

Any time you want to move on, let me know. Eventually, you'll have to deal with Nurah in terms of what you will do with her, whether you'll simply lock her up and keep her out of the way until she can be tried, execute her, or hold her and try to redeem her. Once, you've agreed on that next step, we can roll things like diplomacy if you try to redeem her to see if you can get her to see the error of her ways. If you want her story, why she has been working for the demons, I can give that to you assuming if you are relentless in trying to learn her true motives; she will cough them up eventually.

Nurah looked vexed and said, "The Inheritor can kiss my ..."

Before finishing her sentence, she seemed to feint but in fact she rolled in a kind of backwards somersault, came up and turned to flee the tent.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

While this is a pretty good acrobatics roll, the RAW say that the DC increase by +2 for each additional opponent avoided in one round. So that would subtract 10 from her roll and cause her to provoke an AOO from everyone.

Since no one said they had any weapons drawn, anyone who wants to make an attack of opportunity may make a grapple attempt on Nurah as she tries to tumble away. Karas may have other options if he can attack with claws. Or you could attempt a trip maneuver. She moves as indicated on the map unless someone can grapple her. If you have magic options that can be done as immediate actions those would be allowed.

Behind the Screen:
Nurah: DC 19 Will: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Nurah: Bluff: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (1) + 18 = 19
Anarya: Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Avelina: Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Ellena: Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Karas: Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Raine: Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Tauni: Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Nurah remained defiant. She rested her hands on her hips and stood as tall as she could. "I did not realize I needed a story to deal with a couple of immature lads. I used a suggestion on them to induce them to use their time more productively. While you're accusing me of crimes, it is possible the real enemy is in our midst and you are unaware of it. I have dealt with demon spies before. They can be very hard to detect."

Ellena:
Ellena detected a tell-tale trick of skilled liars. Her muscles tensed in her face as she drew a breath and she began to sweat a tiny bit. And while she held eye contact with Anarya, she held it too long, suggesting she was overcompensating. Something's fishy.

Raine:
Raine hears a subtle shift in Nurah's voice this time around. Her level of challenge is uncharacteristic of her and it is something Raine noticed in her own voice when she told lies to cover up activities she knew her father would not approve of.

Behind the Screen:
Nurah: Bluff: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (13) + 18 = 31
Anarya: Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Avelina: Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Ellena: Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Karas: Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Raine: Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Tauni: Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Nurah keeps her cool and turns to face her accuser. "Dearest Rabbit, you know better than most that magic can be used for good as well as evil. Why do you jump to the conclusion that my use of magic was evil? Yes, I used my bardic wiles to implant a suggestion in those two, but only to direct them to spend their time doing something for the cause and to stop harrassing me with their plays for my affection. I suggested there might be a demon in disguise. among our new recruits. We must be ever on the watch for such evil attempts to infiltrate our ranks with fair seeming counterfeits."

Again, she seems completely sincere.

Behind the Screen:
Nurah: Bluff: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (7) + 18 = 25
Anarya: Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Resolving to get to know each of her new companions, Anarya headed over to meet with Nurah while Sosiel tended to his love. She greeted the halfling and asked "How are you faring after the battle?"

"I am well, thank you. Your leadership has been blessed with an auspicious victory. I look forward to writing down the details in a chronicle of this campaign that the Queen asked me to compose for posterity. She believes this will be the turning point of the war. I was skeptical at first, but now I'm hopeful for the first time in a while. I've seen so many set-backs over my years with the crusades. Did you know I fought with my Lord Axilar of Trezbot who came all the way from Isgar to fight during the 4th crusade? Lord Axilar died and since then, I've been doing what I could to keep morale high. A few more victories like this and that task may just take care of itself."

The army also has a bard who helps keep morale high and is an expert in the lore of the crusades and of ancient Sarkoris. She is a female halfling bard level 8 named Nurah Dendwhar. She was part of an army defending Drezen when it fell to the demons and survived to return to Kenabres, where she has been working since then.
