”Hm. Something bad has happened here. It may be a more complex mission than we’ve anticipated.”

"This symbol does not bode well. Let me see if I can do anything about it" He then sets to work on the doors, trying to hack into their system.

Computers: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Despite lacking much acrobatic skill, Vralakosh manages to wriggle his way out of the razorvine.

Acro: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

"Hm, if we proceed towards the station at half our optimal speed, Katarasi will have time to catch up."

”Perhaps disable it remotely?”

”Doesn’t sound tremendously complex. Find info, take prisoners, and get back.”

Vralakosh limits his celebration to drinking with Otosh. Though he was decently skilled in hand combat, he was nowhere near as good as the current wrestlers, and certainly would regret the bruises and hangover in the morning.

Vralakosh gets his personal computers running. Tracking several starship interface diagnostics wasn't easy, but he could handle it.

Computers: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Computers: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Computers: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Computers: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Vralakosh says to Sleestack, ”Well, there is certainly work for us to do. If I run some diagnostics on the ships navigation computers, will you be able to test them for flaws?”

Vralakosh starts running for the next drone.

Double moving.

Vralakosh moves towards the nearest drone and swings at it with his empowered baton.

Attack vs KAC: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Damage: 1d4 + 2 + 4d6 ⇒ (3) + 2 + (5, 6, 5, 1) = 22

Vralakosh pulls out his tactical baton and his hand charges with energy before he runs it across the length of his baton, infusing it with mystic force.

Casting supercharge weapon.

Similarly to Katarasi, Vralakosh immediately readies to attention when he receives his assignment.

When the grenade strikes, he quickly drops to the ground, covering his eyes.

Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Vralakosh strides into the room. He knew that despite his status as a house mage of House Banyok, his position was in jeopardy. As one of the few accepted professions for mages, they were highly sought after. This mission would decide his fate.

Don’t know if I can compare to Otosh’s epic but I’ll give it a shot.

Among the defining moments in the formation of the Veskarium was the dropsite massacre on Vesk-7. Before the subjugation of the arid desert-jungles of Vesk-7, the fledgling nation functioned as a loose coalition between the noble houses, with civilians in the extraplanetary colonies enjoying a decent amount of freedom.

All that changed with the settlement of Vesk-7, which came to be called Yaska by the colonists. Lacking any sentient life, colonization efforts were swift, and most operations were quite profitable. However, the colonists wished for more freedom, more independence from the homeworld.

Tensions grew between the colony and Vesk Prime, with a constant back-and-forth over permissions, taxes, and authorities. It all reached a boiling point when Vesk-7 declared independence, naming itself the Free Republic of Yaska.

The Free Republic didn’t stand a chance against the armies of the Veskarium. Scattered homesteads couldn’t compete with plasma doshkos and annihilation rockets. And so, when the dropships of the Vesk army landed, the Yaskans rigged the drop zone with explosives, destroying most of the deployed troops.

The government on Vesk Prime would not allow them to continue their insolence. The rebels were bombarded from orbit, and the remnants were sent to the gulags of Vesk-3. Indeed, the freedoms of the extended colonies could not stand, and the central government of the nation started its process of creating the military bureaucracy that stands today.

Rebellion is not tolerated among the vesk.
