It seems as if the thoughts these words have stolen are them thinking they need to stop us before we are able to find out the truth of the situation - why else would you stop an investigation?

Viola studies the letter thoughtfully, and then looks up, "Her letter stays that she thinks this may have been an act by her partner in the venture to collect the insurance money. Surely that couldn't have been worth more than completing the job? Why would someone want to destroy their own work?" I keep ending up going to these shipwrecks... Maybe I need to invest some time in improving my swimming??? "Also, do you know if there is somewhere here where I might find a bag of holding? I think that I need something a little more watertight to hold my gear..." she questions and gestures at her waterstained backpack. I am giving my glyph Hero Point to Sun Fire Boom Boom - for that lovely song, as well as because working against his former companions may be tricky. As far as the posting issue, I changed my default to Viola for the duration of this, so that hopefully I don't have issues with it being the wrong one again. Switching it is taking some time to remember. I'm fine going near the front, especially as I realized I didn't put anywhere I have the trap finder feat - which could help. Trap Finder:
You have an intuitive sense that alerts you to the dangers and presence of traps. You gain
a +1 circumstance bonus to Perception checks to find traps, to AC against attacks made by traps, and to saves against traps. Even if you aren’t Searching, you get a check to find traps that normally require you to be Searching. You still need to meet any other requirements to find the trap. You can disable traps that require a proficiency rank of master in Thievery. If you have master proficiency in Thievery, you can disable traps that require a proficiency rank of legendary instead, and your circumstance bonuses against traps increase to +2. I believe because of this I can Scout, but still be aware of traps (at least those I would find through Searching), but correct me if I am wrong.

You spend your free time studying learning new trivia or practicing unfamiliar languages. When you acquire this boon, choose a common language you don't know or a Lore skill in which you are untrained. While you have this boon slotted, you can spend Downtime practicing the selected language or skill. Once you have expended 50 days of Downtime in this way, you learn the chosen language or become trained in the chosen Lore skill. This boon is then expended and grants no further benefit. 4) Esoteric Wayfinder (Item):
You have modified your wayfinder to focus your mental energy, driving more reliable insights. When you slot this boon, you apply its benefits to one wayfinder in your possession, granting you a special free action ability when the wayfinder is invested and in your possession. You can activate this ability as a free action before you Recall Knowledge. If you roll a critical failure on the Recall Knowledge check, you instead get a failure. Just before the Venture Captain begins his explanation, Viola rushes into the room, clutching a worn leather-bound journal. She quickly sits on the ground next to Mahki, giving her a familiar smile and scratch behind the ears. She then pulls a pencil from behind her ear to take notes as he gives his mission briefing. If I apologize for being late I'll just be drawing attention that isn't needed, especially since I would have to interrupt everyone to ensure he can see to hear me. I don't want to upset him, especially with the positive welcome he gave us after our last mission. After listening to his directions, and the questions of the others, she finally speaks up, with a quiet voice. "Though the sailors are unsure of what caused the ship to crash, are there any creatures that are known to be in that area? Or legends of such? Often I find that there is more truth in the tales that are passed down to us than we want to admit."

GM Kate, is there a place that you would like to see slotted boons? As far as seeing everyone, I probably have not. While in Absalom, I work with my mentor, Bella Rose Blakros at the esteemed Blakros Museum in the Acquisitions department. I work to help make sure that items that are too dangerous to the public make their way to the Grand Lodge so that they are under a more watchful eye than her cousin Nigel.
