Background:
Vee woke up in the woods about seven years ago. A small weasel-like animal led her out of the woods and to a nearby town. The townspeople called her Violet, due to the small tattoo on her wrist “V10L37.” Evidently the townsfolk were very grateful to her for something she had done for them, but she could not remember what it was. In fact, she could not remember anything before she woke up in the woods. After many attempts by healers to restore her memory, a learned sage revealed that it was all part of android “reproduction.” The old Violet had simply died of old age, and her soul had left her body. Vee was a totally new person “born” into that vacated body.
She took the name VeeOne (Vee for short) to set herself apart from the Violet person the townsfolk had known. Since then, she has learned a trade and now the townsfolk have come to see her as one of their own. Though he doesn't say a word, the stoat, named Buri, has been teaching Vee about magic, nature, and weirder things. Sometimes oddly specific things. She can't help but think she's being primed for something. Until now, she's never had reason to leave this town.
