Appearance:
A monster of human being, Uruk stands six and a half feet in height and weights nearly three hundred pounds of solid muscle. In almost every way, Uruk is an archetypal Kellid man. He has ruddy skin and shoulder length dark straight hair, deep set brown eyes that are hidden underneath a heavy set brow bone, and a square jaw that seemingly grows out from his massive chest frame.

While not an attractive man in any conventional sense, his pure size and physical prowess makes him a force to reckon with in any room. Though not intentionally, the Kellid man appears to be perpetually scowling and angry, which makes him more even more fearsome looking. He typically adorns himself in very simple garb and nondescript clothes, hides and furs in all but the warmest of climates. Across his back he carries a massive two-handed blade, sturdy and well built, but like all his possessions it is plain and simple in design.

Personality:
For the most part, Uruk is a simple man and finds joy from the smallest pleasures in life. That being said, he is not an unintelligent man by any stretch of the imagination, and is generally wiser than his twenty years might otherwise suggest.

While Uruk can be driven to extreme violence, that is not his natural disposition. Most of his ability has been learned from what was expected of someone of his size and strength in a Kellid tribe. In reality, Uruk is a more decent person than his nature and background might suggest. While violence has always been a simple way to get what he wants, as Uruk has aged he has discovered that the best outcome in many situations is to leave violence as a last resort instead of the first.

Uruk can be intimidating to approach, but those that get past his frightening exterior will find him to be relatively kind, jovial and loyal beyond all measure. Those that Uruk considers his friends will find that they have an erstwhile ally if ever their life or liberty is threatened.

Background:
Like many of the Kellid, most of Uruk's life has been one of constant dislocation, subsistence and violence. Born to Holg and Selka Meginherd of the Verloren Mammut tribe, Uruk was something of a marvel given his size and strength, even for the Kellid people. Early in his childhood years, it was apparent to all and sundry that Uruk was destined to learn the way of the sword, given his athletic ability and strength. By the age of eight, Holg was training his son to become an elite soldier in the hopes that he might one day be Chieftain. In this respect, Uruk did not disappoint his father, and even displayed an uncanny understanding of when and when not to employ his great strength. As such, Uruk was well received by his people, and his family began to ascend in rank among the Verloren Mammut.

It was a destiny that would prove to be cut short. When Uruk became of age, the tribe was happened upon by a powerful Orcish army led by Krun Thuul. In a brutal campaign, Krun led repeated strikes against the Verloren Mammut, until finally he broke them and enslaved every man, woman and child. It was rumored that their Chieftain had some kind of artifact that Krun wanted, but these rumors were neither verified or denied by their captors. Uruk was subsequently put into a labor camp, where he toiled for nearly two years under harsh and brutal conditions in the Hold of Belkzen. As luck would have it though, Krun sent his slave workers too close to the Varisian border, and border patrols routed his Orcish slavers and set Uruk and his fellow slaves free in Varisia.

His tribe gone but not forgotten, Uruk traveled west to put as much distance between himself and the Hold of Belkzen as possible. Finally finding himself safe for the first time in years, Uruk resolved to seek employment and make a living for himself. Eventually, Uruk landed himself employment with a traveling caravan, and found himself heading to all sorts of locations in the Inner Sea region. Eventually, he located in the comfortable village of Heldren, where he decided to settle down for a time, finding the slow pace of life to his liking.
