Tulden Talees, a half-elf, always prefered the quieter life. This tall, lean half-elf for most of his life lived in solitude in the east, bronzed in nature and appearance by the warmth of the sun which he loved. When he was young he became separated from his parents in the expanses of a large city; the name of which had succumbed to the gray expanses of forgotten memory. Being a waif in a large city was a very unkind life. He was soon kidnapped and lived a personal servant to very cruel and exacting band of merchants. After a few months of dehabilitating beatings from drunken masters, the band was attacked by horde of wild men in the northern reaches of the Mountains of Gath. The events of that day was too much for the eyes of a young boy. Images were scarred in his eyes. The only relief he found was keeping his eyes shut. Reaching for his only possession, a worn burlap blanket that kept him warm at night, he wrapped it around the front of his face and tied it on the back of his head. He then decided that life would be simplier if he was on his own, away from any other possible cruelity anything could offer, and headed north. He learned to live off barren lands of Armaag's Plains. Years went by without a spoken word or seeing another traveler.

This changed when came across the burning remnants of a homestead. Whatever had come by had pillaged, sacked, burned, raped, and eaten its fill. While picking through whatever remained he discovered a young half-orc girl, still alive, under the fallen beam of a doorway. Stunned by this encounter, the first with a humanoid in many years and unaware of stigma of such a race, he gathered the poor girl together and rushed her to the nearest physician in the nearby town. The girl died though. Denial of service. The physician wouldn't take such a "breed." Disgusted by the physician, and with his own inablity to help the child, he journeyd out from the town to learn how he could help, how he could be a service to those in need. He found that when he was directed by a halfling to the Temple of Sarenrae in a city just two days travel.

It has since been three years since he learned about Sarenrae and its teachings, and twenty-five years since he has lived under the brown shroud. It is now time to start the next journey in his life.
